You pay by the hour based on the EC2 instance size you choose to run this software. The dimensions map to different instance types across three families: t2, t3, and t3a burstable instances, and m3 and m4 general-purpose instances. Within each family, sizes range from medium up to larger options like 2xlarge, 4xlarge, 10xlarge, and 16xlarge. Larger instances offer more compute and memory, so your hourly rate scales with the capacity you select. There is no upfront commitment; you pay only for the hours you run. All instances include the same support and deployment service.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
Each hour includes the deployment and support service for the application. You get 24/7 support with a 30-minute response target, continuous security scans, and a control dashboard to manage the deployment. This service applies to every instance type equally.
The hourly software charge meters running time only. A fully stopped instance does not accrue software charges. You may still pay separate AWS fees for attached storage while the instance is stopped, but the software licence bills only for hours the instance runs.
There is no upfront commitment. You pay per hour for the instance type you run and stop charges by stopping or terminating the instance. This suits variable workloads where you scale usage up or down as needed.
