Pricing is based on the duration and terms of your contract with the vendor. This entitles you to a specified quantity of use for the contract duration. If you choose not to renew or replace your contract before it ends, access to these entitlements will expire.
Additional AWS infrastructure costs may apply. Use the AWS Pricing Calculator to estimate your infrastructure costs.
You buy Necto as a contract package built around one Necto Server plus a set number of named users. All four packages give you the same single-server setup. They differ only by how many named users you license: 20, 50, 100, or 200. Pick the package that matches the number of people who need access. As your user count grows, you move up to a package with a larger user allotment. Each named user is an individual assigned to the software, so pricing scales with your team size, not with usage or data volume.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What counts as one named user for billing in each package?
A named user is one individual account assigned to a specific person who can log in and use the software. You license a fixed count per package: 20, 50, 100, or 200. Named users are tied to identities, not to concurrent sessions. Each person who needs access uses one named-user slot.
What does the single Necto Server in each package cover?
Every package includes one Necto Server. This is the central engine that runs the business intelligence software, including dashboards, reporting, self-service analytics, KPI monitoring, and data discovery. All named users in your package connect to that one server. The server count stays the same across all four packages.
What happens if my user count grows beyond my package limit?
Each package licenses a fixed number of named users. To add people beyond your limit, you move to a package with a larger user allotment. The server count does not change. Pricing scales with the number of licensed users, not with data volume or usage activity.

What do you like best about the product?
Necto has powerful infographic support and it makes it easy to create and modify datasources on the fly.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are several technical bugs and limitations. The Necto formula feature is very useful, but with moderate sized data, the Necto server will time out with the most basic formulas. I would like to use exception highlighting for example, but I know it won't work with my data. I find the user interface at times unintuitive and there are bugs that hinder the usefulness of the product.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using Necto to identify bottlenecks and improve efficiency in critical areas.

Multiple business units looking at differing data sets that are reconciled and then displayed via 1 UI. 1 lot of training for all users of varied data perspectives, be it HR, finance or Clinical.

Out of the box this is a powerful, easy to setup suite. the modelling functionality is good, but needs refinement. If you have bad data standardization practices already, no product will save you but this will ease some of that pain with modelling.
