Overview
FileZilla is a file transfer protocol (FTP) software tool with a vast list of features. It allows users to set up FTP servers or connect to other FTP servers in order to exchange files.
The fully pre-configured and ready to run on AWS Filezilla FTP over TLS Server on Windows Server 2019 Image fully meets the growing demands for data protection and integrity in the process of transferring.
It supports TLS, providing the same level of encryption as a browser does to protect your data. TLS encrypts your data to keep them protected from prying eyes thus ensuring that your confidential information is safe. It also supports on-the-fly data compression, which can improve transfer rates.
Being a successor of widely-known SSL, Transport Layer Security (TLS) is a cryptographic protocol designed to provide communications security over a computer network. Even though several versions of the protocol are widely used in applications such as email, instant messaging, and voice over IP, its use as the Security layer in HTTPS remains the most publicly visible.
Highlights
- SSH File Transfer Protocol (SFTP), FTP and FTP over SSL/TLS (FTPS) are supported
