Dimensions summary
You buy this product on a contract based on the number of managed assets you need to cover. An asset is any monitored item such as a server, virtual machine, network device, firewall, or application. Six capacity tiers are available: 2,000, 5,000, 10,000, 20,000, 50,000, and 100,000 assets. Each tier sets how many assets the platform can manage under your contract. You pick the tier that matches your environment size. Pricing scales with asset count, so larger environments map to higher tiers.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
An asset is any monitored item in your environment. This includes physical servers, virtual machines, network devices, firewalls, and applications. Each item you track under the platform counts as one asset toward your tier limit. Each virtual machine counts separately, even when several share one physical host.
Each tier caps how many assets the platform manages under your contract. If your environment grows past your tier, you move to a higher tier that covers the larger count. The change is not automatic. You select the tier that matches your current environment size when you contract.
Cost depends only on the asset count tier you choose, not on how much data you ingest. The platform ingests metrics, events, logs, and traces from many sources, but billing scales with the number of managed assets. You pick one tier covering your environment.
