Dimensions summary
You pay by the hour for this secured Apache NiFi image, billed per running EC2 instance. Each dimension maps to a specific EC2 instance type, so your rate depends only on the instance you choose to launch. Pricing scales with instance capacity: smaller general-purpose types like t3 and m1 cost less per hour, while larger compute, memory, storage, and accelerated types (such as c7i, r7iz, x2iedn, p5, and metal sizes) cost more. You run the same software on any type. Choose the instance that fits your workload, and hourly charges accrue only while it runs.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
Each dimension is the software licence rate for running the secured Apache NiFi image on one EC2 instance of that type. You pay per hour the instance runs. The rate reflects the instance size and family. Underlying EC2 compute, storage, and network charges from AWS are separate and billed by AWS.
Hourly software charges accrue only while the instance runs. When you stop or terminate the instance, the software metering stops. Stopped instances may still incur AWS storage fees for attached volumes, but those are separate AWS charges, not the software rate you selected here.
Your rate matches whichever instance type you launch. Moving from a smaller type to a larger one raises the hourly software rate; moving down lowers it. The change takes effect when the new instance starts running. You run the same software on any type, so only the hourly rate differs.

Apache NiFi is an open-source dataflow automation server - a Java application whose browser canvas lets you build, run and monitor data pipelines from more than 400 ready-made processors without writing code.
