The Wiz Runtime Sensor is offered at no cost, with two hourly dimensions tied to EC2 instance types: t2.micro and m1.medium. These are not tiers or feature levels. Each dimension matches the EC2 instance on which you run the sensor, so you select based on the host size you deploy. Both options bill by the hour and carry no charge. The sensor provides runtime workload protection for virtual machines, containerized environments, and serverless containers. You pay nothing for either instance type under this listing.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
Each dimension maps to the EC2 instance type where you run the sensor. The name reflects the host machine's size, not a feature level. You pick the dimension that matches your deployed instance. Both carry no software charge and meter by the hour.
The sensor software carries no charge on either dimension, so stopping an instance does not create a software fee. Underlying AWS compute or storage costs for the EC2 instance itself are separate and governed by standard AWS billing, not this listing.
The sensor provides runtime workload protection. It monitors virtual machines, containerized environments, and serverless containers. It uses eBPF-powered signals to detect and block threats in real time. These capabilities apply the same way under both the t2.micro and m1.medium dimensions.

What do you like best about the product?
I like that Wiz allows me to address security posture and vulnerabilities very quickly and efficiently, instead of doing so much manual work. I like how it interprets findings with the intelligence of its agents and that its interface is quite user-friendly. I love the Security Graph because it shows the traceability from the incident's origin to the organization's internal resource. The initial setup was very simple: it integrated with the cloud in minutes.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing I would improve is the downloadable reports: I would like them to be more summarized and high-level to present to management, with hard data and commitment indicators. I would also like them to show what has already been remedied and what pain points need to be addressed to increase the posture percentage.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Wiz helps me reduce the manual work that used to take us a long time; now we can address security posture and vulnerabilities very quickly and efficiently.

Wiz Cloud, Defend, and Sensor just work. You turn them on, connect them to your CSPs and boom you've got unparalleled insight.

The pricing model could use refinement, I'd love to have concrete pricing around the different modules rather than relying on "units"
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Wiz gave us full visibility into our cloud posture and the risks we had within our deployments and configurations. It allowed us to quickly identify and prioritize risks that were issues within our organization easily through the UI and integrate with our existing CSPs and security tooling.

What do you like best about the product?
Wiz's agentless approach is what I value most: it gives fast coverage across the whole cloud environment without deploying agents on every resource, and its attack-path graph connects vulnerabilities, exposure, IAM permissions, and sensitive data to show real risk, which makes prioritization far more effective.
What do you dislike about the product?
Wiz's main drawbacks are alert noise that takes tuning to bring under control, cost that grows quickly with the size of the environment, and agentless snapshots that give less real-time visibility than runtime agents.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Wiz addresses three main problems: internet exposure of cloud resources, vulnerabilities, and risk prioritization. It identifies which cloud assets are reachable from the internet, detects vulnerabilities and misconfigurations on them, and correlates that with permissions and sensitive data to show which combinations are actually exploitable. This lets the team focus effort on what carries the most risk, instead of working through an endless list of isolated findings.

The UI is very intuitive, and our developers really like the UX. It’s also great to have a single platform to manage everything related to cloud security.

We appreciate how much the product is growing. At the same time, new features are released very quickly, and it can be hard to keep up with all the change.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps us keep our product infrastructure secure and compliant by detecting risks and threats. The descriptions are intuitive, so both technical and non-technical audiences can understand the findings and take action.

Wiz has a very intuitive UI/UX that makes the product easy to use.
It also connects to all of your other third parties smoothly, thanks to the pre-defined integrations and the accompanying guides.
Performance is a key strength here; you get everything you need with their Red/Blue/Green Agents.
Support has been amazing, and the onboarding process was flawless.

What do you dislike about the product?
I don’t really dislike anything. If something doesn’t feel intuitive or needs a bit of adjustment, we just submit it as a feature request, and the team usually takes care of it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Compliance requires a solution like Wiz, and we feel much more secure knowing that everything is being monitored and that we’re protected at all times.
