Cyber-physical Systems
Develop embedded systems merged with physical processes. CPS is defined both by physical and cyber components of a system. The embedded software uses the network to control real world processes and receives information from the sensors. This creates a feedback loop that helps refine the behavior where physical and cyber intersect. Polarion is able to capture all stages of a system's development.
Regulation and Compliance
Succeed through audits Protect quality and follow FDA, ISO, FAA regulations. Keep your approval process as lean as possible but still, stay compliant. Polarion offers advanced traceability reports, baselining, eSignatures and versioning. They help you keep your projects compliant and prepare your data for final audits
Growth & Scalability
Leverage Polarion SAFe Template to scale agile across your organization with thousands of developers and hundreds of teams. To scale effectively, you need to take a holistic view of your organization. This gives you the opportunity to identify any roadblocks in your organization's internal processes. Polarion SAFe gives your organization the means to not only to grow, but to scale exponentially. Its integration of portfolio management throughout the whole project structure is just one of the many enablers unique to the SAFe methodology. It will provide you a huge boost to your businesses scalability and velocity.
Planning, Delivery & Alignment
Plan initiatives, manage dependencies and milestones. Planning in Polarion is more than just outlining the scope of the planning sessions. You also present the business context and a vision. This helps everyone across your organization align with the common mission. Your developers are then able to evolve the high-level goals initiatives throughout all of your enterprise. Polarion supports cadence-based planning events that serve as a heartbeat for all your company departments and teams. It helps everyone to align and strive for common goals and targets for global milestones. The Polarion feature set enables the notion of "develop on cadence, release any time" by supplying a common platform for the delivery of the finished content directly to the customer as soon as it is ready.
Automation - Release On Demand
Follow the philosophy of integrating security practices within the DevOps process. DevSecOps involves creating a "Security as Code" culture with ongoing, flexible collaboration between release engineers and security teams. Plug Polarion into your DevSecOps toolchain to enable continuous integration and delivery, trigger pipelines with parameterized calls and get instant feedback from the CI/CD tools.
AWS Marketplace now accepts line of credit payments through the PNC Vendor Finance program. This program is available to select AWS customers in the US, excluding NV, NC, ND, TN, & VT.
Pricing is based on the duration and terms of your contract with the vendor. This entitles you to a specified quantity of use for the contract duration. If you choose not to renew or replace your contract before it ends, access to these entitlements will expire.
Additional AWS infrastructure costs may apply. Use the AWS Pricing Calculator to estimate your infrastructure costs.
Polarion X is sold through a single custom quote. You request a price based on your user count, with a minimum of 10 users. The quote also includes startup services. This is one negotiated contract rather than a set of fixed tiers or instance sizes. The user count you commit to drives the total price. Deployment is included in the price. Contracts are billed annually by default. Your instance runs on AWS in supported geographic regions and includes standard support and cloud availability levels.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What counts as one user for the 10-user minimum, and can I add more later?
You are billed per user account granted access to Polarion X. The quote requires at least 10 users. You can request a quote sized to your team, and each added user increases the total price. Contact the vendor about switching or expanding license packages after purchase.
What is included in the price besides user licenses?
The quote includes startup services. Deployment is built into the price of every Polarion X package. Your instance ships with the standard product support package and standard cloud support, availability, and RTO/RPO levels. You can buy a higher support level separately for your instance.
Is Polarion X billed upfront for a full year, and where does it run?
Contracts are billed annually by default. Your instance is deployed on AWS in supported regions, including US East (N. Virginia), several Asia-Pacific regions, and European regions. Data migration from another tool is handled separately by the professional services team under a statement of work.

Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
The way it supports our business with requirements preparation and implementation, along with regression testing, will help streamline the process and improve the overall product outcome.
What do you dislike about the product?
Most of the time, it fails to meet the requirement of exporting to Word or PDF from a large parent-child requirement set. The exported output often doesn’t include each piece of data or parameter properly, and the whole process ends up taking more time than expected.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It makes it easy to capture requirements from the business or sales team, and it also helps adapt to later changes in those requirements during implementation, with flexible, adaptive updates.
