A 10 Gbps virtual appliance built for 100% packet observability, enabling unsurpassed Digital Experience visibility in virtualized and cloud infrastructures. It offers North/South and East/West observability for every network flow. It includes all error conditions and critical KPI metrics for each flows
The DART PacketSensor is a lightweight virtual instance that analyzes 100% of network packets, collecting Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to ensure QoE and SLA targets. It provides both North/South (N/S) and East/West (E/W) visibility for each session in the virtual environment. Packet sensors are essential components of DART AI. In AWS, DART AI Packet Sensors can be strategically deployed to generate DART IQ metadata from packets for each flow in the AWS Infrastructure, which is then transmitted to the DART AI platform. Critical features of DART AI PacketSensors include individualized flow data details and the creation of DART IQ metadata. DART IQ depicts all encountered error conditions and performance metrics to ensure KPI targets are met. PacketSensor10 Gbps can aggregate network traffic from multiple ports to a single port up to 10 Gbps, thus eliminating the need for additional sensors for different application instances. It also supports filtering and standard export formats and can query packets based on multiple criteria. AWS Marketplace now accepts line of credit payments through the PNC Vendor Finance program. This program is available to select AWS customers in the US, excluding NV, NC, ND, TN, & VT.
Pricing is based on actual usage, with charges varying according to how much you consume. Subscriptions have no end date and may be canceled any time. Alternatively, you can pay upfront for a contract, which typically covers your anticipated usage for the contract duration. Any usage beyond contract will incur additional usage-based costs.
Additional AWS infrastructure costs may apply. Use the AWS Pricing Calculator to estimate your infrastructure costs.
You pay by the hour for the AWS EC2 instance type you run this packet sensor on. All nine options are xlarge instances, so pricing scales with the compute profile you pick rather than a feature tier. The choices span memory-optimized families, one storage-and-network variant, and one with graphics support. Each virtual instance handles packet capture up to 10 Gbps. Choose the instance that matches your memory, storage, networking, or GPU needs. Your hourly rate reflects the underlying instance you select, and total cost depends on how many hours you keep instances running.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What does one hour of billing actually cover for this packet sensor?
You pay for one running xlarge instance for each hour it operates. Each virtual instance captures packets up to 10 Gbps. The rate reflects the instance family you pick. Counting is per instance-hour, so running two instances doubles the metered hours.
Am I charged when an instance is stopped or idle?
Software charges meter running instance-hours only. A fully stopped instance stops accruing the hourly software rate. Underlying AWS storage or other resource fees may still apply while the instance is stopped, but the sensor software bills only for time the instance runs.
How do I decide between the memory-optimized, storage, and GPU instance options?
All nine options are xlarge instances that each capture up to 10 Gbps. Pick a memory-optimized family for large in-memory processing. Choose the storage-and-network variant for local disk and network throughput. Select the graphics-capable option if your workload needs GPU support. Your hourly rate follows the instance chosen.

AWS CloudFormation templates are JSON or YAML-formatted text files that simplify provisioning and management on AWS. The templates describe the service or application architecture you want to deploy, and AWS CloudFormation uses those templates to provision and configure the required services (such as Amazon EC2 instances or Amazon RDS DB instances). The deployed application and associated resources are called a "stack."

Usage instructions
To use Cirries DART Packet Sensor Solution having upto 10gbps traffic, perform the following:
Deploy the template from the AWS Marketplace which will deploy DART Packet Sensor on separate instance.
Connect to EC2 instance using SSH as ec2-user user; For example: ssh ec2-user@<Publicip_of_PacketSensor10Gbps_instance>
Enter Dart IP ADDRESS obtained from DART instance for example:
50.17.179.25 (This should be the IP of the DART instance)
Notes:
AWS Resources created by Cirries DART template: Identity and Access Management (IAM) Role, Virtual Private Cloud (VPC), Ec2, Cloudwatch, Lambda, SNS
These policies grant specific actions (Action) on various AWS resources (Resource) for different services such as EC2, DynamoDB, etc., allowing or denying certain operations based on conditions or resource constraints. This template appears to define permissions related to EC2 instances, DynamoDB tables, and specific actions like termination based on instance types.
Please wait utill DART Cloudformation stack creation has completed then only create PacketSensor10Gbps
Stack deletion order: When deleting stack, PacketSensor5Gbps stack will be first and then Dart Cloudformation.
This Prodcut is add-on product for DART AWS Performance Management Centre and can not be used on its own.
Security Notice:
This template grants permissions to modify IAM roles and policies. We recommend deploying it in a separate AWS account for security best practices.
WARNING: DART AI AWS PacektSensor 10GBPS uses some broadly permissive IAM policies to set up a variety of resources in the account, as well as cross-account read-only access for debugging via the AWS console. For this reason, please only install this template into a new, empty AWS account.
This product creates administrative IAM roles to enable creation of additional IAM roles to follow least privilege principles for each instance in the cluster so that it is able to orchestrate your HPC environment. We recommend utilizing separate AWS accounts for different groups of users to ensure separation.
You must complete the Cirries Customer Information Form to enable product registration and support access.
