A 1 Gbps virtual appliance built for 100% packet observability, enabling unsurpassed Digital Experience visibility in virtualized and cloud infrastructures. It offers North/South and East/West observability for every network flow.It includes all error conditions and critical KPI metrics for each flow
The DART PacketSensor is a lightweight virtual instance that analyzes 100% of network packets, collecting Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to ensure QoE and SLA targets. It provides both North/South (N/S) and East/West (E/W) visibility for each session in the virtual environment.
Packet sensors are essential components of DART AI. In AWS, DART AI Packet Sensors can be strategically deployed to generate DART IQ metadata from packets for each flow in the AWS Infrastructure, which is then transmitted to the DART AI platform.
Critical features of DART AI PacketSensors include individualized flow data details and the creation of DART IQ metadata. DART IQ depicts all encountered error conditions and performance metrics to ensure KPI targets are met. PacketSensor-1 Gbps can aggregate network traffic from multiple ports to a single port up to 1 Gbps, thus eliminating the need for additional sensors for different application instances. It also supports filtering and standard export formats and can query packets based on multiple criteria.
AWS Marketplace now accepts line of credit payments through the PNC Vendor Finance program. This program is available to select AWS customers in the US, excluding NV, NC, ND, TN, & VT.
Pricing is based on actual usage, with charges varying according to how much you consume. Subscriptions have no end date and may be canceled any time. Alternatively, you can pay upfront for a contract, which typically covers your anticipated usage for the contract duration. Any usage beyond contract will incur additional usage-based costs.
Additional AWS infrastructure costs may apply. Use the AWS Pricing Calculator to estimate your infrastructure costs.
You pay by the hour based on the AWS EC2 instance type you run this packet sensor on. Each dimension maps to a specific instance size, all from the .large family across several instance classes. These options differ mainly in the underlying compute, memory, storage, and networking each instance provides. You choose the instance that fits your throughput and processing needs, then pay for the hours you use. Pricing scales with runtime, so costs depend on how long each instance stays active rather than on a fixed subscription term.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What does one billing unit represent for this packet sensor?
Each dimension bills per hour that a single EC2 instance of the named type runs. You are charged for the instance-hours the sensor stays active. Running multiple instances multiplies the hourly charge by the number of active instances, each metered on its own runtime.
Am I charged when the sensor instance is stopped?
The software charge meters running hours only. When you stop an instance, hourly software charges stop accruing. Separate AWS fees for storage attached to a stopped instance may still apply, but those are billed by AWS, not by this listing.
How do I choose between the different instance-type dimensions?
Each dimension maps to a different .large EC2 instance class, differing in compute, memory, storage, and networking. This sensor targets 1 Gbps capture, with virtual instances handling up to 10 Gbps. Pick the instance whose resources match your throughput and processing needs, then pay for its runtime.

AWS CloudFormation templates are JSON or YAML-formatted text files that simplify provisioning and management on AWS. The templates describe the service or application architecture you want to deploy, and AWS CloudFormation uses those templates to provision and configure the required services (such as Amazon EC2 instances or Amazon RDS DB instances). The deployed application and associated resources are called a "stack."

Usage instructions
To use Cirries DART Packet Sensor Solution having upto 1 gbps traffic, perform the following:
Deploy the template from the AWS Marketplace which will deploy DART Packet Sensor on separate instance.
Connect to EC2 instance using SSH as centos user; For example: ssh centos@<Public_ip_of_PacketSensor1Gbps_instance>
Enter Dart IP ADDRESS obtained from DART instance for example:
50.17.179.25 (This should be the IP of the DART instance)
Notes:
AWS Resources created by Cirries DART template: Identity and Access Management (IAM) Role, Virtual Private Cloud (VPC), Ec2, Cloudwatch, Lambda, SNS
These policies grant specific actions (Action) on various AWS resources (Resource) for different services such as EC2, DynamoDB, etc., allowing or denying certain operations based on conditions or resource constraints. This template appears to define permissions related to EC2 instances, DynamoDB tables, and specific actions like termination based on instance types.
Please wait utill DART Cloudformation stack creation has completed then only create PacketSensor1Gbps.
Stack deletion order: When deleting stack, PacketSensor1Gbps stack will be first and then Dart Cloudformation.
This Prodcut is add-on product for DART AWS Performance Management Centre and can not be used on its own.
