Dimensions summary
You pay by the hour based on the EC2 instance type you run. Each dimension maps to one instance size, and the software charge is the same for that instance regardless of runtime. Pricing scales with the instance you pick: smaller instances like t3.nano or t3.small cost less per hour, while large memory, compute, storage, and GPU instances such as x8i.96xlarge or p5.48xlarge cost more. You choose the instance that fits your workload, and billing stops when you stop the instance. Standard AWS infrastructure charges apply separately from this software fee.

Each dimension maps to one EC2 instance type. The image includes Oracle Database 26ai Enterprise Edition installed on a dedicated volume, a preconfigured container database, the listener on port 1521, helper scripts, monitoring agents, and 24/7 support with a 24-hour response SLA.
The hourly software fee applies only while the instance runs. When you stop the instance, the software charge stops too. AWS may still bill separately for storage such as the root volume and the dedicated 30 GB /opt/oracle volume, which persist while the instance is stopped.
You pay two separate charges on the same bill. The cloudimg software fee is set per instance type and meters running hours. AWS infrastructure charges for compute, storage, and data transfer apply independently. Choosing a larger instance raises both the software fee and the underlying AWS cost.
