ChainTraced connects metallic value chains with verified, digital product data - from quality certificates and carbon footprint (PCF) to Digital Product Passport.
ChainTraced is a data exchange platform that connects metallic value chains from raw material to end product. Your quality and sustainability data becomes digital, so information travels automatically with the product itself - replacing fragmented email, PDF, and spreadsheet-based workflows with one verified, traceable system.
Built alongside steel mills, forges, and component manufacturers, ChainTraced reflects deep expertise in how complex industrial supply chains actually run. From quality assurance and certificate management to Product Carbon Footprint (PCF) and Digital Product Passports (DPP), every capability is grounded in real operational needs.
One Platform for All Your Product Data Needs
Quality assurance, carbon reporting, and the upcoming Digital Product Passport all demand the same foundation: verified, transparent data flows. ChainTraced replaces data fragmentation with a single platform built on the core logic of the DPP, so you stay compliant and competitive as requirements evolve.
How it works in three steps:
Collect - Invite suppliers to report directly in the platform, or bring in data, historical records included, via API, Excel import, or AI scanning of certificates and documents. Manual entry covers the rest, and pre-modelled secondary datasets fill gaps where primary data is missing.
Consolidate - Data from suppliers and your existing ERP, LIMS, MES, and PLM systems comes together in one platform. Every lot, heat, component, and finished part is linked to its raw material origin across every supplier tier, so you can search it, spot quality trends, and pinpoint emission drivers.
Report - Compute PCF, issue 3.1 certificates on demand, and publish Digital Product Passports to the DPP registry. Each stakeholder sees exactly what they need, nothing more.

Why Traceability, Why Now?
CBAM, PPWR, and ESPR/DPP regulations are moving traceability from optional to a product level traceability. Suppliers who can prove provenance are the ones winning contracts.
Reliable Data - Calculate PCF with numbers from real suppliers, completed with audited secondary data
Compliance Ready - Prove compliance with current regulation and stay ahead of what takes effect in 2027
Full Chain Traceability - Trace emissions tier by tier, so every carbon number is backed by a verifiable chain of custody
Substance Over Story - Support low-carbon procurement decisions with audited data that stands up to customer and auditor scrutiny
Trusted by Industry Leaders
ChainTraced is proven in production environments across the metallic value chain. Customers include BUMAX (discrete manufacturing, fasteners) and SKF (bearings and industrial components), alongside partners such as Ovako, Sandvik Coromant, and Seco Tools in DPP implementation projects.
ChainTraced is the leading traceability and data-sharing platform for complex industrial supply chains - your technical foundation for verified data exchange.
Highlights
Automated Quality Certificate Management: Replace email-, PDF-, and spreadsheet-based workflows with digital transfer of EN 10204 Mill Test Certificates, and lot-level traceability. ChainTraced connects to your existing ERP, LIMS, MES, and PLM systems - no replacement needed. Certificates are digitized, matched to the right lot, and distributed automatically to customers and suppliers through dedicated portals with built-in validation and AI scanning.
ISO 14067 Compliant Product Carbon Footprint: Get started with PCF baselines in days, not months. Upload your product BOMs via Excel or API, and ChainTraced enriches them with primary supplier emissions data and pre-modelled secondary datasets for industrial components. Gain actionable insights on upstream emission drivers, compare emissions across sources tier by tier, and support low-carbon procurement decisions with audited data that stands up to customer and auditor scrutiny.
Digital Product Passport Readiness for ESPR Compliance: ChainTraced is built on the core logic of the EU Digital Product Passport, so you stay compliant and competitive as ESPR, CBAM, and DPP requirements evolve. The platform handles unique product identifiers, DPP registry publishing, access control, and data collection across your value chain. Start with the most crucial data points for your operations today and grow gradually into full DPP readiness.
AWS Marketplace now accepts line of credit payments through the PNC Vendor Finance program. This program is available to select AWS customers in the US, excluding NV, NC, ND, TN, & VT.
Pricing is based on the duration and terms of your contract with the vendor. This entitles you to a specified quantity of use for the contract duration. If you choose not to renew or replace your contract before it ends, access to these entitlements will expire.
Additional AWS infrastructure costs may apply. Use the AWS Pricing Calculator to estimate your infrastructure costs.
You buy four independent modules, each priced on a one-year contract. Lot Transaction, Product Transaction, and Product Carbon Footprint each cover a set annual volume: up to 1,000 lots, transactions, or products. Digital Product Passport covers up to 2,500 passports per year. You pick only the modules you need, and they bill separately. Pricing scales with annual volume, so processing more items moves you into a volume bracket. You can combine modules, and the vendor quotes bundle pricing on request.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What counts as one lot, transaction, product, or passport for billing?
A lot is a supplier mill test certificate with melt and pour origin. A transaction is a product data exchange like a PPAP or data sheet. A product is one item with a combined carbon footprint. A passport is one Digital Product Passport built on your quality and carbon data.
What happens if my annual volume exceeds the amount included in a module?
Each module covers a set annual volume: up to 1,000 lots, transactions, or products, or up to 2,500 passports. Volumes above these move into volume brackets. Volumes over 10,000 per year shift to Enterprise, priced to your volumes and group structure. Contact the vendor for a quote.
Do my suppliers or customers pay to share data through the modules?
No. Suppliers and customers you connect with report and share data with you at no cost. Your module charges cover your own volumes only. Every module also includes unlimited users, user roles, multi-site support, and customer reporting.
