    Overview

    Play video

CtrlOps is a local-first desktop application for managing Linux servers without DevOps expertise. It brings every server, deployment, and diagnostic tool into one screen running entirely on the user's machine.

The core feature is an AI Terminal that accepts natural language input. Users describe a server problem or task in plain English and the terminal generates the exact Linux command needed. Before anything executes, CtrlOps displays the command, explains what it will do, and requires explicit approval. The AI also queries live web sources to retrieve current documentation and security advisories, ensuring recommendations reflect up-to-date information rather than static training data.

Additional features include a multi-server dashboard for managing all connected servers from one screen, one-click deployments from GitHub repositories, a visual file manager for browsing and transferring files on remote servers, real-time monitoring of CPU usage, memory, and disk space, SSH key management with all credentials stored locally, backup status visibility, a scripts library for saving and reusing common commands, and user access control for managing team permissions.

Everything runs 100% locally. No credentials, SSH keys, or infrastructure details are ever transmitted to external servers. There are no agents to install on remote machines. CtrlOps communicates directly with servers over standard SSH protocol.

Available on Mac (Apple Silicon and Intel), Windows, and Linux. Compatible with any Linux server on AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, DigitalOcean, or any VPS provider.

30-day free trial. No credit card required. Monthly plan at $7/month. Yearly plan at $70/year.

    Dimensions summary

CtrlOps offers a single pricing dimension on AWS Marketplace: a Free (default) usage tier. You pay nothing to use it, and there are no paid tiers, instance sizes, or usage add-ons to choose from here. Because only one option exists, pricing does not scale by seat, server count, or usage. You get access to the product under this one free dimension without any billing commitment.

    Top-of-mind questions for buyers

You get the CtrlOps desktop app for managing Linux servers. It includes multi-server SSH, a visual file manager, real-time monitoring, single-click deployment, access management, and an AI terminal that reviews each command before it runs. Everything runs locally on your machine, with no cloud relay and no charge.
No. The Free dimension does not meter server count or fleet size. You can connect as many Linux hosts as you manage without triggering any charge. There are no usage thresholds, seat counts, or add-ons on AWS Marketplace that would change what you pay.
CtrlOps has native desktop builds for macOS on both Apple Silicon and Intel, Windows, and Linux. It connects directly to your servers over SSH, with no software installed on the remote hosts. This applies to the single free dimension available here.

A Clean and User-Friendly Server Management Platform

    Reviewed on Jul 16, 2026
    Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about CtrlOps is its clean and intuitive user interface, which makes server management straightforward. The built-in File Manager and Terminal are easy to access and use, allowing me to perform tasks efficiently without switching between multiple tools. Managing multiple servers is seamless, and switching between servers is quick and hassle-free. Setting up new server connections is also simple, making the overall experience smooth and productive.
What do you dislike about the product?
The main area for improvement is the AI assistant. While it's a useful feature, it could provide more accurate, context-aware, and actionable suggestions. Improving its reliability, expanding its capabilities for server management tasks, and making it more responsive would significantly enhance the overall user experience.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
CtrlOps simplifies server management by bringing essential tools like the Terminal and File Manager into a single platform. Previously, I had to rely on separate applications to access the terminal and manage server files, which was less convenient and interrupted my workflow. With CtrlOps, everything is available in one place through a clean and user-friendly interface. This saves time, makes server administration more efficient, and provides a much better experience compared to traditional server management tools.

From 1 hour of server chaos to 10 minutes of calm.

    Reviewed on Jul 08, 2026
    Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
The best part about CtrlOps is how it eliminates the 'terminal tab chaos' and condenses multiple tools into one clean app.

What really stands out to me:

The AI Terminal with an Approval Gate: Being able to ask for a fix in plain English is great, but the fact that it shows you the command and asks for approval before running it on live infrastructure is a massive safety net. It completely stops accidental mistakes on production servers.

100% Local Privacy: As an agency founder, security is critical. Knowing our SSH keys and credentials stay entirely on my local machine, never touching a third-party cloud, gave me the confidence to adopt it.

No More App Juggling: Having the terminal, file manager, and deployments in a single desktop app has cut down on constant context switching.

Easy integration as well as fast performance to speed up the work. The pricing tier of the product is affordable, and what they commit to is what I am getting. I like the support, as well as it's easy to connect with the team for any guidance.
What do you dislike about the product?
Honestly, there isn’t much to dislike. The core product works exactly as advertised and has solved our main DevOps headaches. I am waiting for the new update to see what new features they bring to make DevOps life easier.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Before CtrlOps, our server management was a bit of a mess. We were constantly juggling multiple apps, using separate tools for SSH terminals, SFTP clients for editing config files, and manual scripts for deployments. It was slow, prone to human error, and meant constantly copying and pasting server IPs from spreadsheets.

With CtrlOps, we went from managing infrastructure across a scattered stack to handling everything in a single desktop app. Now, instead of hunting down a specific terminal or worrying about running a command on the wrong production server, the AI-assisted terminal gives us a safe, plain-English way to troubleshoot on the fly.

The biggest benefit is pure efficiency. What used to take an hour of manual debugging and context-switching now takes about 10 minutes. It has removed the stress from daily deployments and saved our team hours of operational overhead every single week.

    Centralized DevOps with Easy Monitoring

    Reviewed on Jun 23, 2026
    Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
I like that CtrlOps helps me easily connect my older DevOps servers all on a single platform, which is super helpful. I appreciate that each server has its own separate monitoring tool for things like batteries, CPU status, and RAM status. This setup allows me to quickly navigate from one server to another, which is really important for me. Additionally, I find it really useful that I can directly connect LLM models and use their AI assistant to find the commands I need, without having to remember everything. The MCP features are also easily helpful for me. Plus, the initial setup of CtrlOps was super easy; I just needed to install the software like any other one I'm installing, and that was it.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it's unable to connect to the SSH file if there .pem extension.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use CtrlOps to connect all my servers on one platform, making it easier to monitor server status and quickly navigate between them. It also helps me find needed commands using its AI assistant, eliminating the need to remember everything.

Intuitive Interface, Smooth Workflows, and AI-Native Features

What do you like best about the product?
What I appreciate most are the intuitive interface, the smooth workflow management, and the AI-native product features.
What do you dislike about the product?
I haven’t found anything to dislike about CtrlOps yet. It’s good.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
For me, I’ve added all my server configs in this app. Whenever I need to access a cloud server, I just open it, click the specific server, and start working right away, instead of opening the terminal and entering the server IP and password every time. Basically, it saves me time.
