An AMI is a virtual image that provides the information required to launch an instance. Amazon EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud) instances are virtual servers on which you can run your applications and workloads, offering varying combinations of CPU, memory, storage, and networking resources. You can launch as many instances from as many different AMIs as you need.
Once the instance is running, RT click and select GET WINDOWS PASSWORD. Use your key pair to get the randomly generated password. Connect to the instance using the administrator and randomly generated password via Remote Desktop with the AWS generated IP address or Name.

Data Analytics Platform Enhanced
Reviewed on Jan 30, 2025
Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
What I like most about SAP BI, is the ability to bring in our data sources and produce better visuals around our pharmacy dispensing data. In my job, I track pharmacy revenue, reimbursements, and other sales metrics. We are able to produce pretty visuals and charts for senior leadership on a whim, and also build out elaborate dashboards that incorporate our pharmacies data.
What do you dislike about the product?
We use Tableau and PowerBI also, so being able to incorporate these together would be nice.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The visuals! The visuals and chart options in the SAP BI platform are more user friendly than Tableau. PowerBI is very similar so it was easy to incorporate our analysts into use SAP BI. We use SAP for our accounting teams, so the analytics platform was an easy transition.
The integration of redwood with SAP Business Objects is seemless. The best use-case where i find that redwood is the best tool is to schedule the reports. So, In our case, redwood can schedule the process chains responsible for reloading the data, which will be an input for report. And later, we can process the reports. In this way, we are able to fulfill the dependency of the report that, first the data loading should take place and then the report should be triggered. And all these things can be managed by redwood itself. So overall, it's a great tool that can cover various situations.
What do you dislike about the product?
One thing which I don't like with Redwood & SAP BO/BI integration is , if we have a failure in process chain/report then it gives us very generic error message, which is not near to the actual issue.
My suggestion : We should try to integrate the error message from the integrated system(Here it's SAP BO) and fetch the error message and show in redwood itself. Because if there is a monitoring team, they might have access to redwood but not to SAP BO. So this will reduce the turnaround time of solving the issue as we can directly know the error from Redwood and start necessary actions.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
SAP Business objects is a great BI tool which can generate the report in various formats (Webi, Excel, PDF , etc) as per user's expectations. This tool is easy to handle and gives us many options to deliver the reports to end users. This can send the reports to various emails.( Stores, Teams) Also, this can send reports directly to a shared path of client location which can also be a client's expectations.
Used for reporting and data visualization, we were connected with DB2 and Sybase to perform the reporting requirement of the organization. Datawarehousing capabilities, allowing to connect with multiple sources
What do you dislike about the product?
Limited capabilities with respect to data transformation, GUI is also not much attracted compared to other tools in the market. Pricing is also high compare to other solutions in the market.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
we are using SAP BO as a legacy reporting tool and were moving the new requirements to Qlikview/Tableau/PowerBI. Crystal reports were migrated to SAP BO as Crystal reports required high maintenance.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
There are better solution available in market as of now, please check them.
SAP business objects business intelligence is user friendly, it's easy to make a manual out of it!
What do you dislike about the product?
I think because of it's integration with accounting systems to different locations, there are functions that blocked by another user and cannot be used by another user.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's very helpful when it's comes to analysis especially when the data is with complexity. It's easy to determine and to present data which can be understand by the users of the information.
