You pay per request across three independent usage dimensions, each billed by the number of requests you make. The first checks whether a business registration number has a valid format for the target country. The second submits a request to check the company's registration status in the target country's business registry. The third retrieves the result of a check you requested. You can call the format check alone to filter out invalid numbers before querying a registry. Charges scale directly with how many of each request type you send.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
How do the three request types combine to complete one business verification?
The three charges bill independently and add up. You call the format check to confirm a number's structure, then submit a check request that returns a request ID, then retrieve the result. A single verification can involve all three, each metered separately as its own request.
Can I run the format check without paying for a registry lookup?
Yes. The format check is a separate request type. You can call it alone to confirm a registration number has a valid structure and checksum for the target country. Numbers that fail are filtered out before you submit a registry check, so you avoid charges for lookups that would be useless.
Why is retrieving a result billed as a separate request from submitting the check?
The check request returns a request ID while automation robots query the national registry. You then make a separate retrieval request to get the MATCH or NO MATCH result once processing finishes. Each submission and each retrieval counts as its own billed request.
