    Pricing and entitlements for this product are managed through an external billing relationship between you and the vendor. You activate the product by supplying a license purchased outside of AWS Marketplace, while AWS provides the infrastructure required to launch the product. AWS Subscriptions have no end date and may be canceled any time. However, the cancellation won't affect the status of the external license.

    An AMI is a virtual image that provides the information required to launch an instance. Amazon EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud) instances are virtual servers on which you can run your applications and workloads, offering varying combinations of CPU, memory, storage, and networking resources. You can launch as many instances from as many different AMIs as you need.

    Usage instructions

    Once the EC2 instance is launched, it could take up to 15 minutes for Syteca to be ready for use. There are three components preinstalled and configured:

    • Syteca Application Server
    • Syteca Management Tool
    • Microsoft SQL Server

    Accessing the Syteca Management Tool

    To start using Syteca, access the Syteca Management Tool in one of the following ways:

    • Via the EC2 instance: Connect to the EC2 instance via RDP. Then, use the shortcut on the desktop or enter the following address in the browser: https://syteca-srv/syteca/ 
    • Outside of the EC2 instance: Allow the 443 port (HTTPS) in the security group settings and use the public name or IP address of the instance (e.g., https://<public_ip_dns>/syteca/).

    Use the credentials of the default administrator to log in to the Management Tool:

    • Username: admin
    • Password: Syteca-<EC2 instance ID> (e.g., "Syteca-i-0eafddd4122cdb47e")

    Installing Agents

    In the Syteca Management Tool, you can download the Syteca agent and install it on the endpoints you wish to monitor. For more information on how to install agents and use Syteca, refer to Syteca's knowledge base: https://docs.syteca.com/view 

    Accessing the SQL Server

    Use the following credentials to access the SQL Server:

    • Username: syteca
    • Password: <EC2 instance ID> (e.g., "i-0eafddd4122cdb47e")

    Storage Usage

    There are two additional disks attached to the EC2 instance for better performance and management:

    • The "D" disk stores SQL Server data
    • The "E" disk stores Syteca's binary data

    The initial size of each disk is 30 GB. You might need to expand the size of these disks depending on the number of endpoints you wish to monitor and the period of time you want to keep the monitoring data.     The best monitoring solution I've found

    What do you like best about the product?
    Systeca is the best solution when compared to other companies the agent is lightweight. This allows our users to run more on thier computers and IT to extend the lifecycle of our computers slightly more.
    The UI is pretty self explanitory and user friendly. Should something happen to your server dont sweat, information is stored on the Agents so you can allow everything to sync up when the server is fixed!
    Support is pretty good and on top of things. After asking for a few months they added support for wayland desktops on linux instead of only x11. Updating the endpoints is pretty easy . Reports are very helpful when detailing how much work is actually worked in a workday
    What do you dislike about the product?
    SSO doesnt work quite right but perhaps there has been an update
    Dealing with windows server IIS isnt fun, I'd rather a full linux server management experience.

    The application provides seamless functionality and enhances efficiency, making complex security tasks much easier.

    Our general application receives development support from companies abroad. By using Ekran, we have effectively closed all security gaps, ensuring full control and continuous monitoring of the support team's activities.

    What do you like best about the product?
    There are many software that claim to do what Syteca does but no other software provides the exhaustive feature set as this one. The support we received from the customer support team was very helpful to address few system issues. The engineers were knowledgeable and they were easy to get hold off. The software itself was very to deploy and implement. We only use this software on limited number of systems so I cant speak about the scalability of this solution.

    The brand name is not well known in the industry.

    It allows us to record the screens which are useful in documenting a business process performed by key employees.

    What do you like best about the product?
    Pre-sales support is excellent. We had an issue during our proof of concept trial and support resolved the issue provided an update before the end of the proof of concept.
    Easy installation and deployment. I was able to complete the installation and deploy clients to over 150 workstations and servers in 3 days.
    What do you dislike about the product?
    Reporting is limited to pre-defined reports. They are open to request for other reports and did add new a few summary reports exportable in excel with only column headers for us to use with another reporting software.
    What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
    Prior to Ekran System, we were using multiple solutions for user activity monitoring all which had less data retention and not as easy to search. With these previous solutions, to gather information to report on employee or vendor support activity was a multi-day task and required showing coorelation between information from multiple systems. Ekran System provides one place and only takes an hour or two at most to gather the data. The big benefit will be the summary excel report data which all us to do analysis of user activity, application used and websites accessed. This will help determine some medians for users based on position and location that will be provide to manager for them to be able to praise the high performers, coach those who fall below and identify those that only appear to working.

    We are extreamly happy with the system and dont have anything at this time.
    What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
    Ekran monitors usage for me so i can consontrate my time with other projects.
