Overview
CubeBackup is a Google Workspace backup solution which can secure your company data across the entire Google Workspace domain, including Google Drive, Shared Drives, Gmail, Contacts, Calendar and Sites, by backing up all data with version history to local storage or Amazon S3 private cloud storage.
Unlike most other Google Workspace cloud backup providers who physically control your data, CubeBackup allows you to manage your own backup data.
CubeBackup is available on Linux, Windows and even in a docker container. You can try it free for 14 days.

- Detect and automatically add new users without requiring any payment or authorization. The number of licenses can be adjusted before the next payment cycle.

Amazon Machine Image (AMI)
An AMI is a virtual image that provides the information required to launch an instance. Amazon EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud) instances are virtual servers on which you can run your applications and workloads, offering varying combinations of CPU, memory, storage, and networking resources. You can launch as many instances from as many different AMIs as you need.

Usage instructions
When a new AMI is deployed, CubeBackup is already installed and started. However, you need to configure it to backup your Google Workspace data. Basically, there is no need to SSHed into the Amazon EC2 instance. The initial configuration can be done through a web interface.
Storing the backup data to AWS S3 is highly recommended.
- Open a web browser on your computer and visit the IP address of your EC2 instance. A setup wizard will pop up.
- In the setup wizard, select "Local disk" as the storage type, and select a local directory as the backup location.
- Create a service account in the Google Cloud Developer Console (https://console.cloud.google.com/ ), and input the service account key file in the setup wizard, along with your G Suite domain name and the administrator account.
- In G Suite domain admin console, authorize domain-wide access to the service account you just created.
- In the setup wizard, select users to back up.
- Setup the administrator and password for CubeBackup's web dashboard.
- Start your first backup in CubeBackup.
