You pay by the hour for the EC2 instance type you choose to run this platform, licensed for 10 users. The software cost is bundled into one hourly rate per instance, with no separate license fee. Pricing scales with the compute size you select. Options span burstable t3 and t3a instances for lighter workloads up to large m-series instances (m6, m7, m8 families) with more CPU and memory, including bare metal variants. Larger instance sizes carry higher hourly rates. You can start, stop, and change instances as your capacity needs change, paying only for the hours you run.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What does the hourly rate cover, and what is not included in it?
The hourly rate covers the software license for up to 10 users, bundled with the chosen EC2 instance. It does not cover apps, workflows, or forms you build, custom plugins, third-party systems, data migration, or training. Product support for the standard, unmodified platform is available under separate support tiers.
Am I charged when the instance is stopped, for example overnight or on a standby server?
You pay only for the hours the instance runs. A fully stopped instance stops accruing the hourly software charge. Underlying AWS storage or other resources tied to a stopped instance may still bill separately through AWS. The license meters running time only.
Does choosing a bigger instance type give me more than 10 users or just more compute?
The license covers up to 10 users regardless of instance size. Larger instance types give you more CPU and memory for performance and scaling, not more user seats. You select the instance family and size based on workload demands, and the hourly rate rises with larger instances.

An AMI is a virtual image that provides the information required to launch an instance. Amazon EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud) instances are virtual servers on which you can run your applications and workloads, offering varying combinations of CPU, memory, storage, and networking resources.
