You pay based on how many cloud resources Dash ComplyOps monitors in your environment. Each dimension counts one resource type and is billed per unit. These types include EC2 instances, S3 buckets, RDS instances, Lambda functions, VPCs, load balancers, Autoscaling Groups, CloudWatch rules, CloudTrail trails, SNS Topics, IAM Users, and Base Services. The dimensions are independent, not tiers. Your total scales with the number of each resource you connect. Adding more of any resource type raises only that dimension's charge. This lets billing track the actual size of your monitored cloud footprint.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What counts as one unit for each resource type, such as an EC2 instance or S3 bucket?
Each unit is one individual cloud resource that Dash ComplyOps monitors. One EC2 instance counts as one unit, one S3 bucket counts as one unit, and so on. Dash scans your environment and counts each resource separately within its own dimension category.
Which dimension usually drives the largest portion of my bill?
No single dimension dominates by design. Each resource type bills independently and adds to your total. The dimension with the most resources in your environment contributes the most. If you run many EC2 instances but few VPCs, EC2 units drive more of your charge. All applicable charges appear together.
Am I charged for a resource that is stopped or idle but still exists in my account?
Billing counts resources present in your monitored environment, not their running state. A stopped EC2 instance or unused S3 bucket still exists as a resource Dash scans, so it counts toward that dimension. Removing the resource from your environment is what reduces the count.
