Overview
The Deloitte Public Health Rules Engine is an advanced solution designed to process and manage large volumes of public health data. It uses automated, highly configurable business rules to enhance data quality, monitoring, and timely interventions. Developed in alignment with national public health data strategy guidelines, this engine aims to help modernize public health data management. It can ingest various file types, including Electronic Lab Reports ELRs, Electronic Initial Case Reports eICRs, and Immunization Reports VXUs, with the capability to expand to additional file types as needed. Leveraging a cloud-based microservices architecture, the engine offers flexibility in terms of cost and scalability. It is designed to integrate seamlessly with both new and existing public health systems, such as those used for disease surveillance and data management. The engine empowers public health staff to modify rules and parameters, helping to reduce development timelines and enable rapid responses to public health concerns. Our solution utilizes the following AWS Services: Amazon EKS and AWS Fargate
