FileXM by A&T Systems Inc. dramatically simplifies the Amazon Web Services file transfer process by entirely eliminating the need for coding. FileXM users utilize the intuitive point-and-click, drag-and-drop interface to quickly complete file transfer tasks that previously required custom coding, hours of resources and excess time that businesses today simply don't have.
In addition to reducing the time needed for AWS file transfers, the code-free functionality of FileXM reduces instances of user error associated with generating line after line of handwritten code. For an added layer of security, FileXM is installed locally to satisfy even the most stringent requirements found in the government or private sectors. The end result is a solution that meets the highest security standards while delivering speed and simplicity.
FileXM is the only comprehensive file transfer management tool that provides a user-friendly, single solution for all file types on the AWS platform including S3, EBS, EFS, FSx and Glacier. Essentially, FileXM operates as a digital interchange, designed for seamlessly transferring files between idiosyncratic data storage environments across the AWS environment.

You pay by the hour for FileXM based on the AWS EC2 instance type you choose to run it on. Each dimension names a specific instance size, from smaller general-purpose options like t3.small and m3.medium to compute-optimized (c-series), memory-optimized (r-series), storage-optimized (d2, i2, i3en) choices. The software runs inside your own AWS environment. FileXM needs at least a t3.large instance to run. Your cost scales with the size and capacity of the instance you select. EC2 charges apply separately from this software fee.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What does one hour of billing cover, and what runs on the EC2 instance I pick?
You pay for each hour the FileXM software runs on your chosen EC2 instance. The instance size you select sets the hourly software rate. The software installs inside your own AWS account and moves files between storage types using a point-and-click interface.
Does my bill change if I stop or switch the EC2 instance running FileXM?
The software rate depends on the instance type you run it on. Switching to a larger instance changes your hourly rate for that instance. When the instance is stopped, the software stops metering, though underlying AWS storage fees may still apply. EC2 compute charges are billed separately.
Are AWS EC2 charges included in the hourly FileXM price?
No. The hourly rate covers only the FileXM software licence. AWS EC2 compute charges for the instance you run it on are billed separately by AWS. You need at least a t3.large instance to run the software.

Architectural Diagram of FileXM Storage Services and Dashboard/Console to manage FileXM workflow and AWS and dependent services and setups.
There are two AWS accounts required for FileXM. Core Account, and Client account. Delivery package has two CFT scripts incouded.
First Script deploys and sets up the Core AWS Account where FileXM dashboard/console runs that is used for managing FileXM data storage management functionalities and workflows.
Second Script, Client CFT, is executed on the Client AWS account that will have customer S3 data reository and compute resources. FileXM dashbard is used for managing Storage/data management workflow on this client account as well.
CloudFormation Template (CFT)
AWS CloudFormation templates are JSON or YAML-formatted text files that simplify provisioning and management on AWS. The templates describe the service or application architecture you want to deploy, and AWS CloudFormation uses those templates to provision and configure the required services (such as Amazon EC2 instances or Amazon RDS DB instances). The deployed application and associated resources are called a "stack."
AWS Support is a one-on-one, fast-response support channel that is staffed 24x7x365 with experienced and technical support engineers. The service helps customers of all sizes and technical abilities to successfully utilize the products and features provided by Amazon Web Services.
