IonPulse - Battery Risk Intelligence for Automotive OEMs

     Info
    Sold by: IonPulse
IonPulse converts EV fleet battery telemetry into actionable decisions for warranty, recall prevention, field diagnosis, and second-life grading - no new vehicle hardware required.

    Overview

Battery Risk Intelligence for Automotive OEMs and EV Fleet Operators

IonPulse is a battery risk intelligence platform purpose-built to convert production fleet telemetry into quantified decisions across warranty, safety, quality, and lifecycle value.

    Core Capabilities

State of health (SoH) estimation, remaining useful life (RUL) prediction, degradation forecasting, cell and pack anomaly detection, lithium plating early warning, thermal runaway precursor detection, manufacturing batch defect identification, root cause diagnosis, second-life battery grading, and EU Battery Passport data readiness.

    Business Outcomes

The benefits map directly to OEM balance sheet exposure and operational cost. Warranty managers get calibrated reserves and early warning on emerging failure populations before they become claims. Recall and quality teams get manufacturing batch tracing that isolates the specific affected population instead of triggering blanket recalls. Field service and diagnostics teams get root cause attribution that ends the cycle of repeated software-patch recalls for the same underlying defect. Sustainability and aftermarket teams get certifiable battery health reports for second-life grading, remanufacturing, recycling routing, and residual value defense. Every prediction carries a confidence score and contributing factor breakdown through explainable AI, so engineering teams can audit model behavior and business teams can act on it with confidence.

    Integration and Deployment

IonPulse connects at the connected vehicle platform layer rather than the vehicle itself. There is no new in-vehicle hardware, no BMS re-engineering, and no changes to the OEM's existing data pipeline. Data flows either as live streams or as scheduled batch exports from the connected vehicle platform.

    Architecture

IonPulse is built on AWS with multi-region deployment across North America, EMEA, and Asia Pacific. Raw battery telemetry stays within the customer's own AWS environment.

    User Experience

A dual-mode interface serves both engineering and business stakeholders. ION, the built-in AI assistant, is available on every screen for natural-language access to fleet data, chart explanations, and report generation.

    Supported Segments

IonPulse serves automotive OEMs across two-wheeler, passenger vehicle, and commercial vehicle segments, and fleet operators managing large deployments of production EVs. Founder previously led EV battery and circular economy strategy at AWS.

    Highlights

    • Battery risk intelligence purpose-built for automotive OEMs and EV fleet operators. Converts production fleet telemetry into quantified decisions across four balance-sheet surfaces: warranty reserve calibration, recall prevention through anomaly and manufacturing batch defect detection, field failure diagnosis with root cause attribution, and second-life battery grading with certifiable health reports for EU Battery Passport readiness.
    • Deploys in 4-6 weeks without any vehicle-side work. Connects at the connected vehicle platform layer rather than the vehicle itself - no new in-vehicle hardware, no BMS re-engineering, and no changes to the OEM's existing data pipeline. Data flows either as live streams or as scheduled batch exports from the connected vehicle platform. Onboarding includes integration setup, model configuration for your specific chemistry and duty cycle, and stakeholder training.
    • Every prediction is auditable and actionable through explainable AI. Each state of health, remaining useful life, lithium plating, and thermal runaway precursor prediction carries a confidence score and contributing factor breakdown. Raw battery telemetry stays within the customer's own AWS environment. ION, the built-in AI assistant, gives engineering and business stakeholders natural-language access to fleet data, chart explanations, and report generation on every screen.

    Dimensions summary

IonPulse uses a single pricing dimension: vehicles under monitoring. You pay per connected vehicle whose battery telemetry the platform ingests and analyzes during your contract term. Your cost scales directly with how many vehicles you enroll. Each vehicle unit covers the same capabilities, including state of health estimation, remaining useful life prediction, degradation forecasting, anomaly and thermal event detection, and standard reporting and dashboards. The unit works with both live streaming and scheduled batch exports, and applies to all supported battery chemistries and pack architectures. To adjust cost, you change the number of vehicles under monitoring.

    Top-of-mind questions for buyers

One unit is a single connected vehicle whose battery telemetry the platform ingests during your contract. Each enrolled vehicle counts as one unit, regardless of battery chemistry or pack architecture. The unit covers both live streaming from your connected vehicle platform and scheduled batch exports.
Cost scales directly with the number of vehicles under monitoring. Each added vehicle counts as one more unit at the same per-vehicle rate. Every unit carries the same capabilities, so adding vehicles does not unlock different feature tiers. To lower cost, reduce enrolled vehicles.
Each vehicle unit covers state of health estimation, remaining useful life prediction, degradation forecasting, and anomaly and thermal event detection. The platform also supports second-life assessment and health grading for retired batteries. Standard reporting and dashboards are included per vehicle. Contact the vendor to confirm second-life grading scope for your program.
