Overview
Who this is for
SaaS, e-commerce, media and security teams in Canada, the United States and Europe running Amazon OpenSearch Service for product search, log analytics, observability or vector search behind AI features. The buyer is the CTO, platform lead or Head of Data.
The problem
OpenSearch rewards care and punishes neglect. Shard counts grow unchecked, JVM memory pressure spikes, a node failure turns the cluster red, upgrades are postponed until they become urgent, and log retention keeps everything on expensive storage because nobody set a lifecycle.
What we deliver
Onboarding. We review domain health, instance types, shard strategy, index templates, snapshots, access policies and fine-grained access control, then set alarms on cluster status, memory pressure, storage and search latency.
Monthly operations. Our engineers respond to incidents around the clock, rebalance shards, manage index lifecycle and rollover, move older data to UltraWarm or cold storage, test snapshot restores and plan version upgrades with blue/green deployment.
Vector search care. For AI features, vector index settings, memory and recall are reviewed as data grows.
Reporting. A monthly report covers cluster health, incidents, storage tiers and cost by index pattern.
This listing operates OpenSearch domains. For full platform ownership, see Cloud & Platform Managed Services (MSP).
AWS services integrated
Amazon OpenSearch Service (domains, UltraWarm, cold storage, index state management, fine-grained access control, snapshots, vector engine), Amazon OpenSearch Ingestion, Amazon S3, Amazon CloudWatch, Amazon Cognito or SAML access, AWS Key Management Service and AWS CloudTrail.
Outcomes
- Red and yellow cluster events are handled at any hour, with root causes fixed.
- Index lifecycle and storage tiers keep retention without runaway cost.
- Snapshots are tested and version upgrades happen on a plan.
- Vector search keeps its recall as data grows.
Evidence
Dedicatted holds the AWS Service Delivery validation for Amazon OpenSearch Service and is in the AWS Managed Service Provider Program. We built OpenSearch-based retrieval for a European multi-brand retailer's forecasting platform and hybrid product search for a large online retailer's bilingual shopping assistant.
Where we deliver
Dedicatted is an AWS Premier Tier Services Partner and AWS Managed Service Provider headquartered in Toronto and Montreal, Canada. It is the first Canadian partner to hold both AWS AI Competencies (Generative AI and Agentic AI) and the first and only Canadian AWS Partner to hold the AWS Digital Sovereignty Services Competency. We deliver across Canada, the United States and Europe, in English and French, and support Canadian data residency in the AWS Canada (Central) and Canada West (Calgary) Regions.
AWS infrastructure charges
AWS bills you for OpenSearch instances, storage tiers, OpenSearch Ingestion, snapshots in S3, CloudWatch and AWS KMS. Tier and instance changes are made with your approval. We work through IAM roles you create.
Highlights
- Amazon OpenSearch Service domains run for you: 24/7 response to red and yellow cluster events, shard rebalancing, index lifecycle and rollover, tested snapshot restores and version upgrades planned with blue/green deployment.
- Log analysis retention without runaway cost: older indices moved to UltraWarm or cold storage on a lifecycle, vector index care for AI search as data grows, and a monthly report on health, storage tiers and cost by index pattern.
- From an AWS Managed Service Provider with the Service Delivery validation for Amazon OpenSearch Service, which builds OpenSearch retrieval and hybrid search for retail and e-commerce platforms.

Before you buy
- A scoping call confirms the domains, use cases and AWS accounts in scope, your retention needs and the incident response hours you need, followed by a written scope and a private offer through AWS Marketplace.
During the service
- Production incidents reach our engineers through the paging route agreed at onboarding, with response targets written into the private offer.
- Other requests go by email or a shared channel, in English or French, with a named service lead and a monthly review.
Response time
- Requests that are not production incidents receive a response within two business days.
Ending the service
- Runbooks, index templates and lifecycle policies, alarm configuration and the change history stay with your team, and our access is removed.
