Observium - Preconfigured Network Monitoring Server
Pricing is based on actual usage, with charges varying according to how much you consume. Subscriptions have no end date and may be canceled any time. Alternatively, you can pay upfront for a contract, which typically covers your anticipated usage for the contract duration. Any usage beyond contract will incur additional usage-based costs.
Additional AWS infrastructure costs may apply. Use the AWS Pricing Calculator to estimate your infrastructure costs.
If you are an AWS Free Tier customer with a free plan, you are eligible to subscribe to this offer. You can use free credits to cover the cost of eligible AWS infrastructure. See AWS Free Tier for more details. If you created an AWS account before July 15th, 2025, and qualify for the Legacy AWS Free Tier, Amazon EC2 charges for Micro instances are free for up to 750 hours per month. See Legacy AWS Free Tier for more details.
You pay by the hour for the EC2 instance size you run this preconfigured network monitoring server on. Billing is usage-based, so charges accrue only while an instance is active. The dimensions map to standard AWS instance families: general-purpose (m and t types), compute-optimized (c types), memory-optimized (r types), and storage-optimized (i types). Sizes range from nano and micro up to 2xlarge. Larger instances offer more CPU, memory, or storage and carry a higher hourly rate. Pick the family and size that fit your monitoring workload; the software itself is the same across all options.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
Am I charged for the software when my instance is stopped or powered off?
Charges accrue per hour only while the instance runs. A fully stopped instance stops the hourly software charge. Note that stopped instances may still incur underlying AWS storage fees for the attached disk. The software licence meters running time only.
What am I actually paying for with each hourly dimension?
Each dimension maps to a standard AWS EC2 instance size that runs the preconfigured monitoring appliance. You pay for the compute, memory, and storage of that instance size by the hour. The monitoring software is the same across every option; only the underlying server capacity differs.
Does the price include vendor support, or is that separate?
Your subscription bundles free "getting started" and Hub support, plus one free level 1 support incident per month, once you register a TurnKey Hub account. Additional break/fix support, major upgrades, and custom development are offered at discounted paid rates. Free "best effort" forum support is also available.
