Dimensions summary
You pay based on usage across four separate metrics. Rendering sessions are billed in two volume bands: a 0-100 session band and a 101-1000 session band, so per-session cost changes as your session count moves between ranges. Geometry translation is charged per megabyte of 3D data you import. Storage is charged per gigabyte held in S3 each month. These dimensions are independent and combine on your bill, letting rendering, data import, and storage scale separately according to how much you actually use.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
A rendering session starts when a viewer loads a scene using a stream key. Each stream begins a new streaming session with its own scene view. So one session equals one active viewer connection to a scene, not one model or one user.
Rendering sessions fall into two volume bands. Sessions 0 through 100 are billed at one rate. Sessions 101 through 1000 are billed at the second band's rate. As your monthly count crosses into the next range, the applicable band rate applies to those additional sessions.
All four metrics bill independently and appear together on one invoice. Rendering sessions tend to dominate for applications with many active viewers. Geometry translation is a one-time charge per megabyte when you import data. Storage accrues monthly per gigabyte held in S3, growing with your library size.

The major dislike about Vertex is it becomes very expensive for training large scale data

The problem that Vertex solving for me is it provides fully managed platform with very minimal infra management, it is unified platform for ML management

What do you like best about the product?
I like the interface because it is easy to navigate. I like that when tax rate changes occur, we do not have to make any adjustments or try to keep up on them ourselves. I like that I am able to run reports that give me the exact information I need to reconcile. I like that we can test transactions before implementing them into Production.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are some reports in the returns program that are missing taht would save us loads of time each month. One is having a consolidated applied credits report, instead of having to run one for each state or return.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
They are helping us get into more countries and with integrating new systems.

What do you like best about the product?
Having it keep track of rates and rate changes. Not having to file returns myself.
What do you dislike about the product?
Customer support - they don't understand the customer that they are working with. pricing is also an issue

The only thing that they are solving currently is managing the rates and filing returns

What do you like best about the product?
Vertex is a very enhanced tool that support tax calculation and tax reporting on a very efficient way. It helps to standardize and automatize processes on a very accurate way. It helped reducing human resources and many human mistakes

VAT Compliance tool has some limitation and it is not always up-to date

We could leave behind us the robust Oracle tax setups. With Vertex we have clear tax rules and standardized tax codes. With Vertex we have same setup for example for all EU countries and we could have globalized tax treatment
