CSAM
What do you like best about the product?
Our CSAM, Tom Carter is great. I would highly recommend him to anyone. He is very good at his job. Great presenter at Exchange. Very valuable asset. Knows the product inside and out.
What do you dislike about the product?
The process around submitting a service request. The documentation and process to prove our case is cumbersome and time consuming. Research should be more proactive in my opinion and meet me in the middle at least. I'm in the leasing industry and it is unique. I feel that I constantly have to prove what I need instead of research trying to understand. Cases are closed without resolution and understanding.

Indirect sales and use taxes, CUT.

Although helpful, some processes can be a bit manual

What do you like best about the product?
Vertex has a lot of different content for many scenarios. The user interface is intuitive and easy for end users to follow. Standard APIs are also great and the different accelerators simplify the integration.
What do you dislike about the product?
Would like header level flex fields to be included and more functionality around bundle payments.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Consolidating tax decisions to the tax department only.
Vertex is very user friendly. Employee are passionate and knowledgeable.

Easy to find solutions to my questions. Walk through processes are in details.

Maybe some emails about relatives educations programs would be great.

A lot of features and capabilities are hard to handle and it requires great investment of times and resources to learn.

What do you like best about the product?
Most helpful about Vertex is the lookup table feature. It is very nifty to have a tool that basically functions like a vlookup feature with a tax engine.
What do you dislike about the product?
What is frustrating about vertex is end-dating or deleting configuration. For example, if you accidentally input the wrong value for taxability drivers on a batch upload, there is no way to mass delete these incorrect values. You have to delete them one by one, which is very time consuming.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Vertex helps to automate vat recoverability rules which previously we were finding to be tough to figure out on our own.
A must for all businesses which deal with more than one tax jurisdiction

Accuracy for tax calculation and its dedicated to keep up to date on changes.
What do you dislike about the product?
Out of the box solutions is not as performant as necessary for an ecommerce platform at scale.

Sometimes documentation for implementation is not complete/intuitive i.e. SNC settings required to conect Vertex to SAP

the new patches every time comes with problems, smtp is not working propperly with STARTLS, Onpremisse-Ondemmand migration process needs to improve
