A rendering session is defined as a browser window or mobile application rendering at least one frame within a 30 minute window.

What do you like best about the product?
Vertex is a very enhanced tool that support tax calculation and tax reporting on a very efficient way. It helps to standardize and automatize processes on a very accurate way. It helped reducing human resources and many human mistakes
What do you dislike about the product?
VAT Compliance tool has some limitation and it is not always up-to date
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We could leave behind us the robust Oracle tax setups. With Vertex we have clear tax rules and standardized tax codes. With Vertex we have same setup for example for all EU countries and we could have globalized tax treatment

Effortless Sales Tax Management with Vertex

What do you like best about the product?
The main thing I like about Vertex is I don't have to worry about changing the rates on a monthly basis or tracking that. I also don't have to worry about whether something's taxable or not as long as we invoice it correctly and we've put the correct rules in place. It pretty much automates probably 98% of sales tax decisions, which is a great relief.
What do you dislike about the product?
Well, right now, we have a situation where there are special rates in California, depending upon what you're doing and where it's at. We're currently working with the Vertex representative to set up the rules properly because we've tried on our own, and it doesn't seem to be taking the special role. If there was some sort of analytics where we could put in, you know, code two or three if it was pre-populated into the monthly updates, that would be helpful, then we can just link it to the customers who qualify for that. That would be great.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Vertex automates tax rate changes and ensures compliance without manual checks. It integrates with our ERP to query and apply correct tax rates automatically, reducing manual returns preparation. I like not having to worry about tracking rate changes or sales tax decisions, automating around 98%.

What do you like best about the product?
I love how Vertex calculates our sales tax for all of my company's ecommerce orders. I appreciate that as jurisdictions change tax rules and rates, everything is automatically updated in our system. The O-series really helps with our ecommerce sales tax calculation, and it's constantly fluid and updating. It's mostly automated, which means we don't even have to think about it.
What do you dislike about the product?
The custom reporting is sometimes hard to make it give me the data I want. It can be a little confusing as there are just so many categories and different ways to 'group' info that I'm not always sure what I need.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Vertex calculates sales tax for our ecommerce orders, automatically updating as tax rules change. It's mostly automated, so we don't have to worry about it.

What do you like best about the product?
Vertex has excellent support; all issues are resolved promptly and with thorough explanations. They have developed a great reporting filing system that is easy to use and understand.
What do you dislike about the product?
The system of settings is quite complex, and there is no onboarding system for new users. Some changes can only be made through support, such as updating company profile information.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Vertex collects data from our users and greatly simplifies reporting. It helps stay compliant.
