Dimensions summary
You pay by the hour for a hardened AlmaLinux 10 server image running on your chosen AWS EC2 instance type. There is one billing method: usage-based hourly rates. Each dimension maps to a specific EC2 instance type, so your cost scales with the compute you select. Smaller instances like t2.micro or c8a.medium bill at lower hourly rates. Larger instances such as metal and high-memory or GPU types bill at higher rates. You choose the instance that fits your workload, and the software charge is added to the standard AWS infrastructure cost for that instance.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
Each hourly unit covers the hardened AlmaLinux 10 server image running on one EC2 instance of the type you pick. The rate is the software charge only. You also pay the standard AWS infrastructure cost for that instance separately. Both appear on your AWS bill.
The software charge meters running instance-hours. A stopped instance does not accrue the hourly software fee. You may still pay AWS for attached storage while the instance is stopped, but that is separate from the software rate metered here.
