You buy Storylane as a per-user contract, and you pick one of three plans by seat. Starter is the base offering. Growth Plan adds the ability to build guided demos with an HTML capture replica of your product. Premium Plan lets you build both guided demos and hands-on sandbox demo environments. Pricing scales with the plan you choose and the number of user seats you commit to. Each higher plan builds on the one below it, so you add demo-building capabilities as you move up.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
A seat is one user account you assign to a person who builds or manages demos. Each higher plan requires you to commit to a number of seats. You pay per seat, so your cost rises as you add users to the plan.
Growth Plan adds guided demos built from an HTML capture replica of your product. Premium Plan adds hands-on sandbox demo environments on top of guided demos. Each plan includes what the plan below it offers, so capabilities stack as you move up.
Both drive cost together. Your plan sets the per-seat rate and which demo-building features you get. Your committed seat count multiplies that rate. So a higher plan with more seats costs more than the same plan with fewer seats.

Storylane Makes High-Quality Demos Easy Regardless of Team Size—Great Value

What do you like best about the product?
As a small team with no video experience, creating high‑quality demos is extremely difficult, but Storylane makes it easy and offers great value for the price. The AI features in the Chrome extension simplify video capture, letting me add a demo to a landing page with minimal tweaks. It integrates nicely with our CRM (HubSpot), and I’ve never had any issues with embeds or demo links. I’m also using a 2019 MacBook with an Intel chip and have never experienced performance problems.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are minor branding limitations on lower-tier plans. For example, I wish I could make CTAs on brand, but I don't have say over budgets.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Creating professional video content would be impossible without a tool like Storylane. Automatic edits, such as zooms, would require significant time investments from our team.

What do you like best about the product?
Storylane allowed me to make tailored demos for all the reasons a CSM could need. These interactive demos helped support:
- Usage expansion in existing audiences
- Cold outreach to new stakeholders resulting in business value saturation and new champions
- How-to videos for new users that directly reduces the number of training calls I have in a week.
The best part? I didn't need to re-record a video 17 times because a dog started barking in the background.

What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the AI auto-caption/steps feel really sales oriented which made it so I had to just erase them all and write from scratch. But for my purposes it didn't take long.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Storylane is helping me identify new champions, share new features at scale, increase product adoption, and share product demos ahead of customer calls.

What do you like best about the product?
Storylane is great for building external demos and product walk-throughs, as well as internal enablement videos. The UI is very straightforward; even as someone new to the tool, you can get up to speed in minutes.
What’s more, the API integrations with tools such as Claude make building and editing videos quick and simple. Launching a new set of product video walkthroughs doesn’t need to take days—when you use Storylane smoothly, it can be done in a matter of minutes. Their own AI suite also allows you to record a video and it is edited by Storylane so you start with a pretty good v1 before even needing to do any editing yourself.

I think the AI feature could still use some improvement, but I understand it’s new technology. It would also help to include a brief note with the video explaining what you’re trying to build, so there’s more context when the AI generates the video and text.

Storylane is helping us put our product into the hands of prospects and clients without having to go through the longer process of creating a sandbox environment. It also lets us embed videos onto our website to help generate inbound leads.

What do you like best about the product?
Easy to record and edit, and the Publish button gives me a script. It’s very helpful for sorting things out across different deployments. The chrome extension integration is easy to setup. One button to click and record. After recording the window opens fast. And I liked the prefilled AI stuff

Sometimes it records videos too long but its easy to sort that out

Getting started guide. It's amazing that I can just record steps instead of explaining it in text. People love visual cues more than reading a big paragraph
