More Interactivity with Storylane
Reviewed on Jul 28, 2026
Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
Storylane allows you to easily tell an interactive story about your product without building hands-on sandboxes. And they are much more interesting than videos.
What do you dislike about the product?
I like that Storylane has a simple UI, but at some point, I could see running into some limitations into how much I can do with the UI. So far, so good, though.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our product is complex and we can't easily share a sandbox environment. Storylane provides a hands-on experience and is a nice mix to add to our content, which is mostly text with some graphics and videos mixed in.

Easy Content Creation for Effective Guidance to Enable Customers & Employees
Reviewed on Jul 28, 2026

What do you like best about the product?
This has helped us quickly deploy guidance and quick how tos to both our internal teams and to customers. Very easy to create a Storylane. I also love the intent emails after someone has watched a Storylane that you created. We got up and running super quickly.
What do you dislike about the product?
We ran into an issue when a creator left the company, and it wasn’t very clear what would happen to the content. We felt there was a risk that if we closed that account and switched to a new one, we might lose our content. I’d recommend improving the content ownership and sharing model so it’s clearer and less risky in situations like this.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps us onboard new employees, build knowledge internally, and share that knowledge with our customers. We can also quickly create customer-specific content, which makes it easy to leave behind useful artifacts. The AI and the UI/UX make creating and organizing content feel straightforward and efficient.

What do you like best about the product?
I love how Storylane feels like a sandbox but with story telling.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike how I can't "un delete" while editing the demos.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have been using it for support mainly guiding people through setup and it has showed to be an effective way to do so.

Storylane Makes Self-Guided Product Demos Clear, Easy, and Pressure-Free
Reviewed on Jul 28, 2026
Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
Storylane is great because it allows you to clearly and easily show prospects the product(s) that you offer, and lets prospects go through the demos on their own time, without any pressure from sales
What do you dislike about the product?
Storylane continues to improve this, but I still find myself doing a lot of manual updating across all of our demos, even for changing the smallest thing. A lot of our demos follow the same flow, so changing something on one and having it update across the board would be a huge time saver
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It’s tough to get prospects to join live demos these days, and Storylane lets them walk through a demo on their own time. I’m comfortable using it because each demo follows a defined flow, so I know prospects aren’t going rogue or clicking around in ways that could confuse them.

Great Bubble-Head Video Demos with Flexible On-Screen Positioning
Reviewed on Jul 28, 2026
Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
the ability to film yourself with a bubble head over a product demo/ tutorial - also the ability to move your floating head as your presenting if it hides certain elements
What do you dislike about the product?
We're planning on adding subtitles to our videos - from what I see there's not way to embed the subtitles directly onto your video in your branding
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use it to film product demo videos for new products or features - these tutorials make it easier to understand complex platform functionality and highlights the potential value visually too

Fast, Fun Interactive Demos with Great AI and Editing

What do you like best about the product?
I like that it doesn't take long to create an interactive walk through of a live product just by clicking through it like you normally would. The editing capability makes it easy to fine tune the interaction for the user. We have also been able to use it for support and training users of the VisionSync platform with a relevant example in their environment. The AI does a great job setting up the interaction and in most cases you don't even need to change what it creates. It has been a good return on investment to be able to see the interactions and learn about organizations that might be exploring using our platform from our website or other sources where we can embed or link to our Storylane. We are even using it in outbound sales and GTM efforts due to is portability and speed to adjust to what we need.I find it fun to create something in minutes that used to take hours or a specialist.
What do you dislike about the product?
No downsides I have experienced with the platform.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Business development, out reach, client and prospect education, training and support. Those benefit us tremendously and we are getting good feedback on the demo capability and the training resources we can provide now in a customized way. It is nice that it is integrated right into my browser and I can start it at any time.

Quick content creation, ease of editing and updating guides, simple and effective AI features.
What do you dislike about the product?

Easy-to-Use Demo Creation from Videos or Browser Recording
Reviewed on Jul 28, 2026
Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
It is very easy to use, especially from existing demo content or from recording straight from your browser
What do you dislike about the product?
Importing a video directly doesn't always work as it should do and the AI helper doesn't make the right directional cuts to what you have provided
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Storylane is saving me from having to show up for every single client demo my company runs. Because it lets users click through a guided demo at their own pace, we can simply share a link and the client can go through it whenever it suits them, without me needing to be everywhere at once.

Fast, Clickable Demos with Easy Updates, Personalization, and Insightful Analytics
Reviewed on Jul 28, 2026
Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
The thing that keeps us using it is how quickly you can go from a live product to a demo people can actually click through. Capturing the screens and editing the flow takes minutes, where before we were recording video and then editing it every time something in the UI changed. Now we update the affected step and the demo is current again. Personalization is the other part that pays off: we swap out company names and logos per account, so one base demo covers a full target list instead of building a new one each time. The analytics are more useful than I expected, because seeing where someone stops clicking tells you more about interest than an email open does. The editor needs some patience when a screen has dynamic content, but support answered within a day when we got stuck on it.
What do you dislike about the product?
Most of my friction sits in the editor once a demo needs to be more than a straight walkthrough. Styling control is limited if you want something really on-brand: it is easy to get a demo to look decent, harder to get it exactly right, and the options for layout and transitions stop short of what our designers ask for. Brand settings also live per demo instead of workspace-wide, which is a small thing that adds up when you publish regularly. Editing images inside a captured screen feels slower than the rest of the tool, and the zoom option does not always land where you need it. Building a flow with branching or several use cases in one demo takes trial and error before it sits right, so budget more time for that than for a simple linear demo. None of this stopped us from using it daily, it just means the first version of a demo takes longer than you would expect.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Before Storylane, showing the product early in a conversation meant either a live call or a recorded video. Live calls needed someone with product knowledge in the room, so demos got scheduled a week out and half of them turned out to be with people who were not a fit. The videos solved the scheduling problem but not the maintenance one: every UI change meant re-recording and re-editing, so within a few months most of them were out of date and we quietly stopped sending them.
Now the product walkthrough sits in the sales conversation from the first email instead of after a qualification call. Building a demo is a job of an hour or two instead of a day of recording and editing, and when the interface changes we update the affected step rather than starting over. That is the difference that made us actually keep the demos current.
The second benefit is what it tells us. Step-level analytics show where someone stopped clicking, which is a far better signal of interest than an email open, and it tells the person following up which part of the product to talk about. Personalizing a demo per account means we reuse one base flow across a whole list instead of building each one from scratch.
The result is fewer calls spent explaining basics, prospects who arrive already knowing what the product does, and demo material that stays accurate without a standing maintenance task. For a small team that last part matters as much as the time saved up front.

Intuitive, AI-Powered Demos with Lightning-Fast Performance
Reviewed on Jul 28, 2026
Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
I love that it is incredibly intuitive to use. I think that the infusion of AI in the process makes things extremely effective. For e.g - there are parts of a demo that I've never looked at in a certain way before and this is highlighted by the AI generating the text bubbles and things along those lines. I love that we don't have to use our voices during the demo recordings. I especially like the controls through the chrome extension and the flexibility in choosing between screenshots and html which makes demos highly customizable. The support and onboarding process was great because our team had a call with a CSM from Storylane that went through the entire product having someone from our team work on a demo as a live use case. The performance of the platform is unlike any other product in it's class. Extremely quick to record, render, refactor and edit demos. Love it.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not much to say, to be honest. It gets the job done, and it does it better than any other tool I’ve seen so far.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It solves the problem of demos taking incredibly long to create, while also avoiding demos that feel uninstructive and dry.
