Dimensions summary
You pay by the hour based on the EC2 instance size you choose to run this software. The dimensions map to specific instance types across the t2, t3, t3a, m3, and m4 families. Smaller instances like t2.small and m3.medium fit lighter workloads. Larger instances like m4.16xlarge and t3.2xlarge suit heavier compute needs. Each instance size carries its own hourly rate, so your cost scales with the capacity you select. You are billed only for the hours you run. There is no upfront commitment or fixed term with this usage-based model.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
One hour equals one running instance of the chosen EC2 size. The software rate applies while that instance runs, tracked per instance. If you run several instances, each one meters its own hours. Larger sizes like m4.16xlarge give more compute per instance, so you may need fewer running instances.
The software rate meters running time only. A fully stopped instance stops accruing the hourly software charge. You still pay AWS separately for storage attached to a stopped instance, such as EBS volumes. Restarting the instance resumes the hourly software charge automatically.
Hossted provides support for open-source applications, including deployment, configuration, optimization, and ongoing management. Their team offers L2/L3 support, proactive monitoring, and help resolving production issues. This support applies across the instance types you run.

After deployment, you can access your application at http://<public IP>. (It might take up to 15 minutes to be available post-deployment). The machine is accessible via SSH, default username: ubuntu. Where relevant, app login credentials are available on message of the day (and /etc/motd).
