TandemViz uses a single pricing dimension based on the number of users in your system. You pay according to how many users you add, so your cost scales directly with team size. This is a software-as-a-service license that gives each user access to all platform modules. There are no separate tiers or add-on charges in this listing — one per-user rate covers the full set of drug discovery tools. To expand access, you increase the user count.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
A user is one person with access to the platform through the web portal. Your total user count is the number of people set up in your system. Each user receives access to all platform modules, so the count reflects team members, not individual tools or features used.
Cost scales directly with your user count. Adding a user increases the charge by one per-user rate; removing one lowers it. There are no tiers, so each user is billed at the same rate. To expand access, you raise the number of users in your system.
One fixed per-user license gives access to all platform modules with no separate add-on charges. This includes data management tools, wet lab tracking, and side-by-side comparison features. Optional GPU services and virtual private cloud deployment are handled outside this per-user pricing and would require contacting the vendor.

This Marketplace launch option offers a straightforward way to launch TandemViz with pre-determined cluster sizes for your computational needs. This stacks creates all the neccessary infrastructure for your computational chemistry, including VPC (new or existing), security groups, a Slurm cluster and storage. Please refer to our userguide (https://tandemcloud.s3.amazonaws.com/iac/marketplace/3.10.9/TandemVPC_guide.pdf ) for more information.
It is recommended to deploy TandemVPC into a new AWS account because the permissions allow TandemVPC to create administrative roles, users, or groups.
CloudFormation Template (CFT)
AWS CloudFormation templates are JSON or YAML-formatted text files that simplify provisioning and management on AWS. The templates describe the service or application architecture you want to deploy, and AWS CloudFormation uses those templates to provision and configure the required services (such as Amazon EC2 instances or Amazon RDS DB instances). Usage instructions
Once the Cloudformation stack is complete, it will output the following details:
- BastionPublicIP: The public IP address of the bastion node
- HeadnodePrivateIp: The private IP address of the head node of the cluster
- SystemManagerUrl: The URL to access the HeadNode via SystemManager
- ClusterCloudwatchDashboardUrl: The URL to the CloudWatch dashboard of the cluster
- TandemVizCloudwatchDashboardUrl: The URL to access the TandemViz Cloudwatch for logs, metrics and alarms
- SshKeyUrl: The URL to access the ssh key
- VizUrl: The URL to access TandemViz
If you do not provide an ARN of the AWS Certificate Manager's public certificate, the first time you visit TandemViz, it will show this sign. This is because a self-signed certificate is used instead of a public certificate.
To SSH into the cluster, first you need to download the SSH key from System Manager's parameter store, use it to ssh into the headnode via bastion node as jump host.
