Overview
Who this is for
Retail, fintech, SaaS and media companies in Canada, the United States and Europe whose reporting and analytics run on Amazon Redshift, with analysts and engineers but nobody who owns the warehouse itself. The buyer is the Head of Data or analytics lead.
The problem
Warehouses get slower and more expensive as they grow. Month-end loads collide with dashboards, a few heavy queries block everyone, tables lose their sort and distribution fit, snapshots and recovery are never tested, and the bill rises without a clear reason.
What we deliver
Onboarding. We baseline workloads, queues and concurrency, review table design, workload management, data sharing and snapshot policies, and set alarms on query queueing, failures and capacity.
Monthly operations. Our engineers respond to incidents, tune the slowest and most expensive queries with your analysts, adjust workload management and concurrency scaling, manage data sharing to other accounts, and keep snapshot and recovery policies tested.
Capacity and cost. Provisioned and Serverless capacity is reviewed against usage, with reserved node or base capacity proposals sized before any change.
Reporting. A monthly report covers incidents, query performance, queueing and cost by workload.
This listing runs the warehouse after it is built or migrated. For migrating a warehouse to AWS, see Enterprise Data Warehouse Migration to AWS; for full platform ownership, see Cloud & Platform Managed Services (MSP).
AWS services integrated
Amazon Redshift (provisioned and Serverless, workload management, concurrency scaling, data sharing, snapshots), Amazon S3, AWS Glue, Amazon Quick Sight, Amazon CloudWatch, AWS Secrets Manager and AWS Cost Explorer.
Outcomes
- Month-end dashboards stay fast, with heavy queries kept from blocking others.
- The slowest and most expensive queries are tuned every month.
- Recovery from snapshots is tested, not assumed.
- Warehouse cost is explained by workload and reviewed monthly.
Evidence
Dedicatted holds the AWS Service Delivery validation for Amazon Redshift and the AWS Data Services Competency, and is in the AWS Managed Service Provider Program. We moved the analytics of a Toronto connected-access company, a managed-service customer of ours, to Amazon Redshift, and modernized the data platform of a regional grocery retailer, published as a case study on our AWS Partner Solutions Finder profile.
Where we deliver
Dedicatted is an AWS Premier Tier Services Partner and AWS Managed Service Provider headquartered in Toronto and Montreal, Canada. It is the first Canadian partner to hold both AWS AI Competencies (Generative AI and Agentic AI) and the first and only Canadian AWS Partner to hold the AWS Digital Sovereignty Services Competency. We deliver across Canada, the United States and Europe, in English and French, and support Canadian data residency in the AWS Canada (Central) and Canada West (Calgary) Regions.
AWS infrastructure charges
AWS bills you for Redshift capacity, concurrency scaling, managed storage, snapshots, data sharing and S3, plus Quick Sight where used. Capacity changes are made with your approval. We work through IAM roles you create.
