Overview
Why InfoSum Beacons?
Beacons are InfoSum's cloud-native infrastructure for privacy-first, AI-ready data collaboration. Deployed directly in your AWS account, they enable faster and safer collaboration without moving data.
InfoSum Beacons deploy directly inside your AWS account.Unlike centralized clean room solutions that require data to leave your environment, Beacons keep your AWS-based source data entirely under your control. Real-time intelligence adapts to behavioral shifts, powering more accurate predictions and outcomes for downstream activation and measurement.
Key Capabilities
- Secure Collaboration: No raw data, PII, or identifiers ever leave your AWS environment. Only abstract models are used to run queries.
- Privacy-First Architecture: End-to-end privacy and governance by design, with complete control over your data.
- Enterprise Scale: Process massive datasets across multiple partners and formats with high-speed compute pools.
- AI-Ready: Vector-based matching for identity-free insights; supports PII, CRM, log files, and more.
How It Works
InfoSum Beacons deploy as an application inside your AWS account. Once connected to the InfoSum Platform, you can:
- Query and analyse your data through privacy-safe interfaces
- Configure collaboration workflows with approved partners
- Generate privacy-safe outputs for downstream activation and measurement
- Maintain complete ownership and control of your source data at all times
The Beacon requires outbound connectivity to InfoSum-managed endpoints to function, enabling platform orchestration while keeping data stationary.
Prerequisites
- An active InfoSum Platform account
- An InfoSum Cloud Vault and valid AWS Beacon license key (obtained via the InfoSum Platform)
- AWS Glue Database table(s) to act as your Beacon's source data
Compliance and Privacy
InfoSum Beacons are designed to ensure compliance with global privacy standards. The decentralized architecture means raw data never leaves your AWS environment, reducing data breach risk and simplifying regulatory obligations.
InfoSum is ISO 27001 and SOC II Type 2 certified.

InfoSum Beacons
Beacons are InfoSum's cloud-native infrastructure for privacy-first, AI-ready data collaboration. Deployed directly in your AWS account, they enable faster and safer collaboration without moving data. Requires an existing AWS Glue Database and Table(s).
Key Features
- Secure Collaboration: No raw data, PII, or identifiers ever leave your AWS environment. Only abstract models are used to run queries.
- Privacy-First Architecture: End-to-end privacy and governance by design, with complete control over your data.
- Enterprise Scale: Process massive datasets across multiple partners and formats with high-speed compute pools.
- AI-Ready: Vector-based matching for identity-free insights; supports PII, CRM, log files, and more.
Your data stays in your account. Raw data is never transmitted to InfoSum or any third party.
Deployment Dependencies (Internet Required)
This product requires an internet connection to deploy properly. The following packages are downloaded on deployment:
- aws-nitro-enclaves-cli (from Amazon Linux 2023 repositories)
- gvproxy v0.8.9 (from https://github.com/containers/gvisor-tap-vsock/releases/ , Apache 2.0, SHA256-verified)
- InfoSum Beacon software image (from seller-provided S3 bucket, specified at deploy time)
No additional payment is required for any deployment dependency. All are open-source or seller-provided.
Ongoing External Services (Internet Required)
This product requires an ongoing internet connection. The following ongoing external services are required to properly function:
- InfoSum Platform API (HTTPS - PLATFORM_API_ADDR): Beacon connection to core platform and configuration.
- AWS MSK (TLS): Lifecycle management and control of your Beacon via the InfoSum Platform.
- Sentry.io (HTTPS): Encrypted error reporting (stack traces, error codes, and version metadata only).
All ongoing connections are configured automatically during deployment. No additional payment or buyer-side setup is required. InfoSum (the seller) is responsible for the availability and security of all external dependencies and services listed above.
No raw customer data or PII are transmitted out of your Beacon's VPC. EC2 instances deployed as part of the Beacon do not have a public IP address. All outbound connectivity routes through the Beacon's VPC.
CloudFormation Template (CFT)
AWS CloudFormation templates are JSON or YAML-formatted text files that simplify provisioning and management on AWS. The templates describe the service or application architecture you want to deploy, and AWS CloudFormation uses those templates to provision and configure the required services (such as Amazon EC2 instances or Amazon RDS DB instances). The deployed application and associated resources are called a "stack."
