You pay by the hour based on the EC2 instance size you choose to run this preconfigured Netbox image. All twelve options bill the same way; they differ only in compute capacity. The t3 and t3a options (medium and large) suit lighter workloads. The m7i and m7i-flex options scale up from large through 4xlarge for heavier use. You match the instance size to your performance needs, and hourly cost rises with larger sizes. AWS charges the underlying EC2 infrastructure separately.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What does the hourly charge actually cover, and what runs on the instance?
The hourly rate covers a preconfigured virtual machine image running Netbox for IP address and datacenter infrastructure management. The image also bundles a web server, a relational database, and an in-memory data store. You pay per hour the instance runs, on top of AWS EC2 infrastructure charges.
Am I charged the hourly software rate when the instance is stopped?
The hourly software charge meters running time only. A stopped instance does not accrue the per-hour software fee. AWS may still bill for attached storage and other resources while the instance is stopped. Charges resume when you start the instance again.
Is configuration or use-case support included in the hourly price?
No. The price covers the out-of-the-box image only. The vendor confirms the default configuration is set up correctly but does not support running or configuring Netbox for your specific use case on this listing. For help, you use official community channels or contact the vendor directly.

An AMI is a virtual image that provides the information required to launch an instance. Amazon EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud) instances are virtual servers on which you can run your applications and workloads, offering varying combinations of CPU, memory, storage, and networking resources. You can launch as many instances from as many different AMIs as you need.
