An AMI is a virtual image that provides the information required to launch an instance. Amazon EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud) instances are virtual servers on which you can run your applications and workloads, offering varying combinations of CPU, memory, storage, and networking resources. You can launch as many instances from as many different AMIs as you need.

Usage instructions
Access the appliance via SSH and user ID rocky. If the Instance will authenticate with an existing VitalQIP AMS, access the existing AMS, and add a new appliance following the VitalQIP Appliance Manager documentation, andtake note of the Appliance Actions->Configuration->Setup Information. Create an Instance in AWS, selecting a valid instance type. In the Instance User Data field, add the following lines:

Follow the VitalQIP Appliance Manager Software Overview document for the steps to configure the VitalQIP AMM Appliance Instance from the AWS Serial Console. Access the Managing AMS to manage.
