This listing offers one pricing dimension: LinuxServer, billed per unit under a contract. You pay for each Linux server you protect with file-level backup. Pricing scales with the number of servers you license — add more units as you add more servers. Backup runs to the cloud storage you choose, so storage is separate and not part of this per-server charge. There are no tiers or size classes to compare; you simply select the quantity of Linux server licenses your environment needs.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What counts as one LinuxServer unit for billing?
One unit covers file-level backup for a single Linux server you protect. Each server needs its own license. Supported Linux distributions include Ubuntu, Debian, SUSE Enterprise, openSUSE, Red Hat, Fedora, CentOS, and Amazon Linux 2. You back up individual files and folders on that server.
Is cloud storage included, or do I pay for that separately?
Storage is separate from the per-server license. You bring your own storage destination and choose your provider. The software supports major public cloud storage services, and you can also use a local or external drive. Storage costs come from your chosen provider, not this license.
How does my cost change as I add more Linux servers?
Cost scales linearly with the number of servers you license. Each additional Linux server adds one more unit at the same per-unit rate. There are no size classes or tiers, so you simply increase the quantity to match the servers in your environment.
