This product has charges associated with it for providing dedicated seller support and OS-level hardening by Blume in line with ACSC ISM Official Secret compliance. The ACSC ISM Official Secret CentOS 10 AMI delivers a compliance-ready operating system with stricter security controls designed for environments handling sensitive classified workloads.
This is a repackaged software product wherein additional charges apply for dedicated seller support and operating system hardening by Blume.
Our AMIs are specifically hardened to meet ACSC ISM Official Secret compliance, as defined in the Australian Cyber Security Centre's Information Security Manual (ISM). The ISM Secret level builds upon the Base level with more stringent configuration requirements designed for handling classified workloads that require heightened security assurance.
Controls at the Secret level include stronger access restrictions, advanced system auditing, enhanced encryption, and monitoring measures to minimize exposure to cyber threats and unauthorized access.
By adopting the ISM Secret level, organizations demonstrate compliance alignment with stricter Australian government security standards and can operate with increased confidence in protecting sensitive workloads.
Finally, our operating systems are not only compliance ready but are also consistently updated, ensuring that the latest security patches are applied in a timely manner to maintain protection and reliability in production environments.
Highlights
Blume has been established since 2020 and is a trusted brand relied upon by many large corporations for secure and compliant solutions.
This AMI is updated and compliance-ready out of the box, requiring no additional configuration steps to meet ACSC ISM Secret standards.
AWS Marketplace now accepts line of credit payments through the PNC Vendor Finance program. This program is available to select AWS customers in the US, excluding NV, NC, ND, TN, & VT.
Pricing is based on actual usage, with charges varying according to how much you consume. Subscriptions have no end date and may be canceled any time. Alternatively, you can pay upfront for a contract, which typically covers your anticipated usage for the contract duration. Any usage beyond contract will incur additional usage-based costs.
Additional AWS infrastructure costs may apply. Use the AWS Pricing Calculator to estimate your infrastructure costs.
If you are an AWS Free Tier customer with a free plan, you are eligible to subscribe to this offer. You can use free credits to cover the cost of eligible AWS infrastructure. See AWS Free Tier for more details. If you created an AWS account before July 15th, 2025, and qualify for the Legacy AWS Free Tier, Amazon EC2 charges for Micro instances are free for up to 750 hours per month. See Legacy AWS Free Tier for more details.
You pay by the hour for this hardened CentOS 10 image, billed per running EC2 instance. Pricing is not tiered. Instead, each dimension matches a specific EC2 instance type, and your hourly rate follows the instance type you launch. Smaller general-purpose types cost less per hour, while larger compute, memory, storage, and accelerated types cost more. You pick the instance that fits your workload and pay only for the hours it runs. AWS infrastructure charges are separate and billed by AWS. All instance types include the same operating-system hardening and seller support.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What counts as one billable unit for this hourly image?
Each running EC2 instance is one billable unit. You are charged the hourly software rate tied to the exact instance type you launch, counted per instance per hour. Launch two instances and you pay two hourly rates. The rate changes only if you choose a different instance type.
Am I charged the software rate when an instance is stopped or paused?
The software rate meters running hours only. A stopped instance accrues no software charges. Restarting resumes the hourly rate for that instance type. Note that AWS may still bill its own storage fees for attached volumes while the instance is stopped; those charges are separate from the software rate.
Does a larger instance type change what hardening or support I receive?
No. Every instance type carries the same CentOS 10 operating-system hardening mapped to ACSC ISM Official Secret controls and the same seller support. The instance type only changes the compute, memory, or storage capacity you run and the matching hourly rate. Capability does not vary by size.

An AMI is a virtual image that provides the information required to launch an instance. Amazon EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud) instances are virtual servers on which you can run your applications and workloads, offering varying combinations of CPU, memory, storage, and networking resources. You can launch as many instances from as many different AMIs as you need.

Usage instructions
We recommend scoping your launched EC2 instance to only your internal network and restricting access to your own IP address for maximum security.
How to Connect to Your CentOS 10 Instance Using SSH:
Locate your key pair: Ensure you have the .pem key pair file selected when launching the instance. Save it securely on your local machine.
Set permissions: Update the file permissions on the key file so it is not publicly viewable. Example: chmod 400 your-key.pem
Find the public DNS or IP: In the AWS Management Console, open the EC2 Dashboard and locate the Public DNS (IPv4) or Public IP of your instance.
Connect with SSH: From your terminal, run the following command, replacing your-key.pem with your key file and <public-dns> with your instance details: ssh -i your-key.pem ec2-user@<public-dns>
Accept the fingerprint: When prompted, confirm the fingerprint to establish the first-time connection.
You are now connected to your CentOS 10 instance via SSH.
