Dimensions summary
Factory Insights uses a per-user contract model with four tiers. You buy an annual commitment for a set number of monthly application users: 10, 25, 50, or 100. A "user" is anyone who signs into the service at least once during a calendar month. The tiers differ only by how many included users you contract for. If usage exceeds your contracted level, additional-user overage fees apply. Faster support response comes with the higher user-count tiers. Choose the tier that matches your expected monthly user count, then scale up as your team grows.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
A user is anyone who signs into the service at least once during a calendar month. This includes admins, power users, and end users. Each unique person counts once per month, no matter how often they log in. Your tier sets how many monthly users are included.
Your annual contract covers a set number of monthly users. If more unique users sign in during a month, monthly overage fees apply for those above your contracted level. The extra charges affect only the additional users, not your whole contracted base.
No. Factory Insights reads and writes factory data to AWS IoT SiteWise and Amazon S3. AWS charges those service costs directly to you. Your Factory Insights subscription covers the application and user access only, separate from underlying AWS storage and IoT service fees.
