    WEAST Document Intelligence

     Info
WEAST Document Intelligence reads, extracts, validates and structures business documents at scale, turning invoices, receipts, forms and contracts into structured data that flows straight into your ERP, DMS or database, with people reviewing only the exceptions. Built on the WEAST enterprise agentic AI platform, it runs within your own infrastructure.

    Overview

WEAST Document Intelligence automates the reading and data entry of business documents. The platform reads, understands, extracts and summarises invoices, receipts, forms, applications and contracts, validates extracted fields, and delivers structured data to connected business systems. It helps finance and operations teams reduce manual processing and focus human review on exceptions. WEAST brings intelligent document processing into everyday finance and operations workflows.

    The challenge

Teams spend hours manually reading documents and entering data from invoices, forms and contracts. The work is slow, costly and error-prone, while incoming documents accumulate faster than staff can process them. Inconsistent formats and incomplete information add further review and rework. Finance and operations teams need accurate, validated data in their systems of record, with a clear way to identify exceptions and reduce the need to review every document by hand.

    The solution

WEAST Document Intelligence uses the WEAST Data & Document Pipeline, covering parsing, OCR, chunking, embedding and structured extraction, to turn unstructured files into structured, actionable data. Extracted fields are checked against configured business rules before reaching downstream systems. Uncertain results and items that fail validation are routed for human review, while validated output is delivered to connected ERP, document management systems (DMS) or databases. This supports document processing workflows in which staff focus on exceptions. Documents can also be summarised and searched to find relevant clauses, information or data across large archives. The solution fits finance and operations teams processing invoices and receipts, forms and applications, and contracts and agreements, with validated information flowing into accounting and operational systems.

    Core document intelligence capabilities

    • OCR and document understanding: Read invoices, receipts, forms, identity documents and contracts.
    • Structured field extraction: Convert unstructured files into structured data for use in business systems.
    • Automatic validation: Check extracted fields against configured business rules before downstream delivery.
    • Exceptions-only review: Route uncertain results and items that fail validation to human reviewers.
    • Straight-to-system output: Deliver validated data to connected ERP, DMS or databases.
    • Summarisation and lookup: Summarise documents and find clauses, information or data across large archives.

    Enterprise platform capabilities

WEAST supports document intelligence with model flexibility, knowledge grounding, security controls and operational visibility.

    • The WEAST Model Gateway powered by Amazon Bedrock: Provides governed access to foundation models through Amazon Bedrock, with workspace-level access policies, usage quotas, and token and cost visibility managed within WEAST. Model selection depends on availability and configuration in the customer's AWS deployment.
    • Knowledge Base / RAG and Data Pipeline: Support document parsing, OCR, chunking, embedding and reranking, with citations on grounded answers. These capabilities support checks against reference documents, policies and master data.
    • Security and governance: Include model access control, PII detection and redaction, prompt-injection defence, secure RAG, policy guardrails, tenant isolation and full run traceability.
    • LLMOps and monitoring: Provide conversation tracing, quality evaluation, drift and anomaly monitoring, usage analytics, and per-run token and cost visibility.

    Deployment and AWS integration

WEAST can run in the customer's own AWS account and Amazon Virtual Private Cloud (Amazon VPC), including in an appropriate AWS Asia Pacific Region. Through the WEAST Model Gateway, it can use Amazon Bedrock as an approved model endpoint, including access to Amazon Nova where available. Other approved open or private models are also supported according to the selected deployment and configuration. Dedicated managed, on-premises and hybrid deployment options are available, allowing organisations to choose an environment aligned with their infrastructure, operational and data-residency requirements.

    Delivered by ICS Compute

ICS Compute delivers WEAST as professional services, covering use-case discovery, workflow design, integration with existing enterprise systems, deployment in the customer's AWS environment, and ongoing support.
