You can launch as many instances from as many different AMIs as you need.

Usage instructions
Configuring the Virtual Machine
To configure each instance, perform the following steps:

Use SSH to access the instance using its IP address, username, and SSH key: ssh -i <private key path> em7admin@<vm-ip-address>

Using vi (or another text editor), edit the /etc/silo.conf file: sudo visilo

Set the database password as required for your deployment.
