AWS Marketplace now accepts line of credit payments through the PNC Vendor Finance program. This program is available to select AWS customers in the US, excluding NV, NC, ND, TN, & VT.
Pricing is based on actual usage, with charges varying according to how much you consume. Subscriptions have no end date and may be canceled any time. Alternatively, you can pay upfront for a contract, which typically covers your anticipated usage for the contract duration. Any usage beyond contract will incur additional usage-based costs.
Additional AWS infrastructure costs may apply. Use the AWS Pricing Calculator to estimate your infrastructure costs.
You pay by the hour based on the AWS EC2 instance size you run. Each dimension maps to one instance type across two families. The t2 and t3 dimensions cover general-purpose instances, from small through 2xlarge. The m3, m4, and m5 dimensions cover larger workloads, ranging from large up to 24xlarge. Pricing scales with instance capacity: bigger instances carry a higher hourly rate. You pick the size that fits your workload and pay only for the hours you use. Each hourly rate bundles the NATS deployment plus the security and support services.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What does the hourly rate for each instance cover beyond the compute itself?
Each hourly rate bundles the NATS messaging deployment plus security and support services. You get continuous security scans, a management dashboard, and 24/7 support with a 30-minute response target. These services apply to whichever instance size you run and are included in the per-hour charge.
Am I charged when my instance is stopped or paused?
The software charge meters running hours only. A stopped or paused instance does not accrue the hourly software fee. Underlying AWS resources, such as attached storage, may still incur separate AWS charges while the instance is stopped. You pay only for the hours the instance actually runs.
What decides which instance dimension I should pick?
You pick one instance type that matches your workload size. The t2 and t3 families suit general-purpose messaging. The m3, m4, and m5 families handle larger volumes and higher throughput. Larger instances carry a higher hourly rate. You can scale horizontally by running clustered instances for high availability.

An AMI is a virtual image that provides the information required to launch an instance. Amazon EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud) instances are virtual servers on which you can run your applications and workloads, offering varying combinations of CPU, memory, storage, and networking resources. You can launch as many instances from as many different AMIs as you need.
