Dimensions summary
You pay by the hour for running Outline on CentOS 9, billed based on the AWS EC2 instance size you pick. The ten options split into two chip families: t3 (Intel) and t3a (AMD). Within each family, you scale up from nano to micro, small, medium, and large. Larger sizes give more compute and memory and cost more per hour. Software charges here cover the vendor's support; standard AWS infrastructure fees apply separately. Choose the instance that matches your workload, and your hourly rate follows that choice.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
They name the AWS EC2 instance type your software runs on. t3 uses Intel processors; t3a uses AMD processors. Both scale through nano, micro, small, medium, and large sizes. Each larger size gives more virtual CPU and memory, and you pick one type as your billing unit.
The software rate meters running time only. A fully stopped instance stops accruing the hourly software charge. Underlying AWS fees, such as storage for the stopped instance, may still apply separately. You are billed the software rate for the hours your chosen instance actually runs.
Each instance type is a separate hourly rate. To move to more compute, launch the size you need and your hourly rate follows that new choice. There is no upfront commitment, so you pay only for the hours each instance runs. Contact the vendor for migration guidance.
