Blossom Swipe is a cloud-native card issuer processor built for credit unions. Issue and process debit and credit cards from one platform: self-service BIN management, portfolio templates, instant and virtual issuance, real-time authorization, fraud screening, and native disputes. Not an outsourced service. Deployable on AWS and operated by Blossom.
Blossom Swipe is a cloud-native card issuer processor built for credit unions, not adapted for them. It is deployable on AWS and operated by Blossom, runs under the credit union's own brand, and is native to the rest of the Blossom platform.
Every credit union pays for a card processor. The difference is how much control comes with it. With most processors, the credit union buys a managed service and gives up its independence: the vendor owns the platform, sets the roadmap, and sits between the credit union and its members. Swipe gives that control back. The result: debit and credit on one platform, real-time authorization on every transaction, and a card program the credit union runs and controls itself.
What Blossom Swipe does
Modular by design: Card Manager issues and administers cards; the Transactional Engine authorizes every transaction in real time.
Debit and credit, one system: Issue and process both card types, configured per portfolio. No separate product, no separate contract, no separate operations team.
Cloud-native on AWS: Built cloud-native from the ground up, deployable on AWS for elastic scale, redundancy, and security, not an on-premise system rehosted and rebranded as cloud.
Real-time fraud, built in: Every transaction is screened by Blossom Safe at the moment of authorization. Blocked before the money moves, not flagged after.
Card Manager
BIN management: Register, edit, search, and manage BINs in minutes. Run multiple BINs side by side. If you don't own a BIN yet, Blossom's partner institution can sponsor one, so a credit union can launch a card program before it owns its own BIN.
Card design and portfolios: Upload your artwork and set the card's look once. Then build portfolio templates that lock in the BIN, expiration, and transaction limits, and issue thousands of cards from a single template. Portfolios can be active, inactive, or archived, each with full audit history.
Issuance: Issue a card from a portfolio in a few steps. Assign it to a member pulled directly from the core, link it to one or two accounts, and issue a virtual card instantly. No manual card inventory to manage.
Administration: Change a card's status (freeze, suspend, or deactivate), reset a PIN, raise or lower limits on a single card, set rules for which merchant types a card can be used at, and move a card to a different account. Card status changes are reflected on the member's side in real time through Blossom Ctrl. Blossom Ctrl is Blossom's card controls product which comes bundled with Swipe.
Transactional Engine
Every debit, credit, and ATM transaction is checked in milliseconds against three things before it is approved: the card's status, its security controls, and fraud risk. In-store, online, ATM, and recurring transactions all run through one processor, not a separate gateway for each channel. Blossom Safe screens every transaction at the moment of authorization, and each one is approved, declined, or sent for step-up verification before the money moves.
Disputes, security, and audit
Disputes are managed inside Blossom Magic, the same interface staff already use, with no separate portal to log into. Sensitive card data is tokenized, and the platform is PCI DSS compliant. PIN changes are protected by limits on failed attempts to prevent brute-force access. Every action is recorded with who did it, when, and what changed, ready for compliance and NCUA review.
Native to the Blossom ecosystem
When a card is issued through Swipe, it's linked across the rest of the Blossom platform immediately: it posts to Blossom Core in real time, shows up for staff in Blossom Magic, and can be controlled by members through Blossom Ctrl, with no extra connector software, no overnight batch processing, and no added integration cost. Card details, statements, and self-service actions all reach members through Blossom Ctrl. Business cards work the same way across Blossom.
Onboarding and pricing
Onboarding scopes the BIN, portfolio, and active-card migration path before a contract is signed, so the credit union knows the cutover plan up front. Pricing is one contract with no hidden fees and no annual renegotiation.
Why credit unions choose Blossom Swipe
Blossom Swipe is a cloud-native card issuer processor built for credit unions, by a CUSO serving credit unions exclusively. Debit and credit on one platform, your brand on every card, portfolios live in days, fraud stopped at authorization, and disputes handled in the same screen as everything else. Where legacy CUSOs sell an outsourcing contract, Swipe gives the credit union control of its own card program.

Highlights
Run your card program yourself, without waiting on a vendor: Run your card program yourself, without waiting on a vendor. Blossom Swipe is built for self-service from the ground up. Register a BIN, build a portfolio, and issue cards from one interface, under your own brand, on your own schedule. Where legacy processors put a service desk between a credit union and routine work, Swipe puts those decisions in the credit union's own hands.
Debit and credit. One platform. Every card, your brand: Swipe issues and processes debit and credit from one platform, so a credit union's entire card portfolio lives in one place: BIN management, portfolio templates, issuance, PIN and limit updates, overrides, and disputes. Card inventory stays managed across both programs, with no split systems and no separate operations teams. Members see their credit union printed on the card, the app and every screen. One system. One brand. One experience.
Launch a portfolio in days, not months. Cloud-native, ready today: Move at the speed of your card programs. Define and deploy a program yourself, without waiting on a card vendor to hard-code it into its system. A gold card, youth product, or seasonal promotion goes from idea to live as fast as Credit Union's need it, not the months of back-and-forth legacy processors take. Every card issued is available virtually the moment it's created, ready for Apple Pay, Google Pay before the plastic ships.

Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What does one unit of Blossom Swipe represent for billing?
The Marketplace listing bills Blossom Swipe by unit, but it does not define what a single unit maps to. The sales team sets unit definitions and pricing during a quote. Contact the vendor at sales@blossom.net to confirm how units are counted for your credit union.
How does cost change as my credit union adds more usage or members?
The listing does not publish scaling rules or thresholds. The vendor notes that package pricing means the more you buy, the less you pay. Actual unit counts, tiers, and scaling terms are arranged with the sales team. Contact the vendor for a quote reflecting your expected usage.
Is Blossom Swipe billed as a commitment or by actual usage?
Blossom Swipe uses a contract pricing model billed by unit. The displayed price is a placeholder, so the actual structure is not set in the listing. Whether charges reflect a fixed commitment or metered usage depends on terms arranged with the vendor. Contact sales@blossom.net for details.
