the traffic in Chicago...getting from the Ogilvie train station to Dupaul U!

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

We have teaching video and full-length feature films that need to be behind our SSO.

What do you like best about the product?

I find Panopto's browser recorder, remote recorder, and editor extremely useful. The transcriptions are also super beneficial for my needs. I appreciate the technical services team's support during the migration process, making it quick and accurate. The platform provides a great delivery method for video content and a toolkit for professors and instructors to create and edit videos remotely. The feature set fits perfectly with our use case in higher education.

What do you dislike about the product?

I would retool or omit the Elai tool. Additionally, the absence of AI summaries in the videos is a drawback. A feature that could generate AI summaries for users would be beneficial.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

Panopto provides an effective delivery method for video content and solves video creation challenges, enabling professors to create, edit, and share videos from any location.

What do you like best about the product?

When we bought Panopto in 2020 we needed no more than 3 days to fully integrate Panopto in the university ecosystem. Panopto perfectly matches our needs in terms of automated lecture capture and livestreaming via Panopto certified devices and their distribution throughout the moodle integration. Additionaly Panopto empowers both members of staff and students to easily create and manage their video content. On top Panopto´s features, like captions, fully searchable content, discussion, e.g. empower to students to rewatch lecture content and create their personal learning path.
We are using Panopto for nearly sic years now, and there were no greater issues in terms of site-outages, malfunctions, e.g.
With the new addons Elai and Access AI Panopto adopted future proof tools.
The customer support is alwas friendly and problem-oriented and solved our issues verry fast.

What do you dislike about the product?

There´s nothing bad to tell about Panopto.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

Rolling out a large amount of lecture captues and livestreams. Onboarding-Videos for new employees.

What do you like best about the product?

This is an excellent video platform that enables us to create content in various ways—through the app, using Teams and Zoom integrations, via Moodle, and even from our classroom remote recorders. It also provides several options for delivering video content. A major advantage for us is the ability to live stream our events and public defences directly from our classrooms. Additionally, the platform is evolving quickly, and I find it easy to keep up with their product development.

What do you dislike about the product?

Some aspects of the admin interface could be improved, such as adding better options for sorting and filtering users, as well as providing the ability to perform bulk operations on user accounts.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

Overall, this is an excellent tool for creating and delivering videos. Our university has a long-standing tradition of hybrid teaching and using video platforms. Tools such as Panopto are truly essential for our needs.

I find the cloud-based system to be easy to administer and troubleshoot.

Nothing. It does it’s job and stuff stuff

It’s a lecture recoding system that allows for other video uses, should they be needed.
