What do you like best about the product?
I have used Panopto for recorded lectures at the University of Liverpool and appreciate being able to easily rewatch lectures, which is particularly helpful for recapping later in the semester. I also like the ease of use for lecturers, allowing them to easily record without excessive effort. This ease means lectures are recorded more often rather than skipped because it's difficult or time-consuming. I found the layout and instructions intuitive, so I had no issues with the initial setup.
What do you dislike about the product?
The subtitles are very useful, but for physics, they are very frequently inaccurate due to advanced technical vocabulary.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Panopto to rewatch recorded lectures with subtitles, which helps me recap later in the semester. Its ease of use encourages lecturers to record sessions without much effort, ensuring lectures are consistently captured.

What do you like best about the product?
It’s a solid lecture capture and video storage system, and it integrates well with Moodle.
What do you dislike about the product?
The adminstration and folder management is limited and basic. You cannot separate staff and student videos.

What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate Panopto's integration with our VLE, which enhances ease of use for students and manages authentication and access efficiently through SSO. The LTI integration with Canvas also stands out, making it easy for lecturers to embed videos. Additionally, the initial setup of Panopto was very easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
We are trialing the Access AI functionality and we don’t believe it is quite there yet for us to use with students. Some of the summaries are missing key parts, and the 3 key points could prove confusing to students thinking there is only 3 key areas to look at.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Panopto allows students to review and revise lessons whether they were present or not. The integration with our VLE offers ease of use for students, along with authentication and access management, using SSO. The LTI integration with Canvas makes it easy for lecturers to embed videos.
