    Overview

    Play video

The Business Compass LLC Language Intelligence Platform is an end-to-end AI solution that converts text, audio, and video into structured, multilingual intelligence at enterprise scale. The platform is built on secure, cloud-native AWS architecture and supports real-time processing as well as large batch workloads. It is designed for accuracy, speed, and high-volume automation across more than 100 global languages.

The platform unifies speech recognition, neural translation, OCR text extraction, text-to-speech, and AI-driven analysis into one integrated system. Organizations can process documents, scanned forms, PDFs, images, audio recordings, calls, lectures, livestreams, and video files. The system produces transcripts, translations, summaries, insights, and natural-sounding synthesized speech.

Batch processing is a major capability. Customers can upload large sets of documents, audio files, and videos for automatic parallel processing. Batch features include bulk audio and video transcription, multi-document OCR extraction, batch translation across more than 75 languages, summary generation, topic and keyword extraction, compliance notes, and large-scale text-to-speech rendering. Batch jobs run on scalable serverless pipelines that deliver predictable performance and high throughput. Output files are stored in the customer AWS environment for full control and compliance.

For real-time operations, the platform delivers live transcription, multilingual speech translation, and intelligent conversational agents. It supports live captioning for hearings, events, conferences, broadcasts, and virtual meetings. Real-time translation allows multilingual communication without interpreters. Features such as speaker tagging, speaker identification, and domain-specific vocabulary models improve accuracy.

The platform also integrates AI and large language models to produce summaries, action items, sentiment insights, compliance notes, and knowledge extraction. With retrieval augmented generation (RAG), users can upload internal documents such as manuals, policies, procedures, and contracts, and ask questions that are answered directly based on their content.

Deployment is flexible and secure. The platform can be deployed entirely in the customer AWS environment to ensure full data ownership and compliance. Business Compass LLC manages configuration, monitoring, scaling, and updates. Customers pay AWS usage directly while the software license allows unlimited users and unlimited processing volume.

The platform supports enterprises, government agencies, courts, broadcasters, healthcare organizations, call centers, educational institutions, and media companies. It enables real-time hearings, multilingual support, digitization of archives, content localization, and batch processing of large datasets. The system follows HIPAA, GDPR, and security best practices, making it suitable for regulated environments.

    • Amazon ECS
    Container image

Containers are lightweight, portable execution environments that wrap server application software in a filesystem that includes everything it needs to run. Container applications run on supported container runtimes and orchestration services, such as Amazon Elastic Container Service (Amazon ECS) or Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (Amazon EKS). Both eliminate the need for you to install and operate your own container orchestration software by managing and scheduling containers on a scalable cluster of virtual machines.

    Version release notes

    Version 3.1

This release introduces an end-to-end human-in-the-loop (HITL) localization workflow, a significantly expanded REST API with an integration portal, new delivery and templating options, and WCAG 2.1 accessibility improvements.

    Human-in-the-loop localization workflow (new)

    • Coordinator Dashboard: work queue with filters, bulk assignment, SLA due-date tracking, and vendor workload metrics.
    • Vendor Hub: linguists and reviewers receive assignments, accept or decline work, and track their workload.
    • Unified Tasks workspace: role-aware views for linguists and QA reviewers, a task-detail status stepper, deep-linking, and threaded per-step comments.
    • Projects and role-based access control: project-scoped permissions with typed roles (lead, linguist, QA/reviewer) and a QA reviewer pool with reassignment.

    Multi-step processing pipelines (new)

    • Compose and run sequenced actions (transcription, translation, subtitling, delivery) with automatic input resolution and completion webhooks.
    • Per-step review and approval gates, with automatic invalidation of downstream steps when an upstream output changes.
    • In-app editing of transcription and translation output (including speaker names) that feeds downstream steps.

    QA and review tooling (new)

    • QA checklists with audit trail, QC issue tracking, and a document diff view (template vs. submission).
    • Audio/video spot-check with tagged issues, segment-overlap detection, and a review player with speed control, auto-rewind, and issue markers.

    Delivery and templating (new)

    • Template-driven Word and PDF delivery with a variable-mapping UI and side-by-side / inline preview.
    • Multi-language final delivery with standardized file naming.
    • Multi-format export: Word, PDF, JSON, SRT, VTT, and TXT.
    • Offline round-trip editing: download editable Word tables per output, edit, and re-upload.

REST API v1 and integration portal (new)

    • Programmatic task submission and pipeline execution, direct media upload, linguist/QA assignment, user directory, and template listing.
    • API Integration Portal: request logging and audit, per-client IP allowlisting, and external-ID mapping.
    • Hosted, self-contained API reference at GET /api/docs (no authentication required).

    Improvements

    • Transcription metrics: processing time, idle time, and per-language breakdowns surfaced in the UI, delivery, and templates; billable silent-time counted in 1-minute increments.
    • Speaker self-introduction name detection.
    • Correct rendering of non-Latin scripts in generated PDFs via per-script Noto font fallback.

    Accessibility

    • WCAG 2.1 Level A/AA Priority-1 remediation across core workflows: page language and titles, skip links, landmarks, keyboard operability, dialog focus management, form-field labeling, and screen-reader status announcements. Draft VPAT available.

Deployment is unchanged: a single linux/amd64 container image deployed via the provided AWS CloudFormation template.

This delivery option provides CloudFormation templates and deployment assets used to install the software in a customer managed AWS environment. The templates allow deployment of the full system or selected components only. The available files include:

master-stack.yaml: Deploys VPC, ECS Fargate, Application Load Balancer, S3 buckets, Secrets Manager entries, IAM roles, and auto scaling resources. secrets-only.yaml: Creates the Secrets Manager secret used for application configuration. s3-buckets-only.yaml: Creates S3 buckets for input and output data. iam-roles-only.yaml: Creates IAM roles and policies required for the platform. security-groups-only.yaml: Creates security groups for network access control. task-definition.json: Template for the ECS task definition. iam-policy.json: IAM policy document used by the deployment. deploy.sh: Script for automated deployment. README.md: Documentation for installation and configuration.

To deploy, navigate to the cloudformation directory and set required environment variables including the license key, authentication password, authentication secret, and container image URI. Optional variables such as an OpenAI API key may also be provided as needed. After variables are set, run the deploy.sh script to launch the stack in the customer AWS account.
