What do you like best about the product?

It’s easy to upload video content, and the help files are very good.

What do you dislike about the product?

The video editor could be easier to use, and the timeline expansion needs finer, more precise control.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

Supplying video content to our students is much easier now. It automates the upload of Zoom videos created by online faculty, saving faculty members a lot of time. Panopto also allows streaming of videos on multiple device types and sizes

It's ease of use and clarity of the player.

A little hard to manage video as an admin.ie to find the videos that are useless to remove them. We

Having a single place for all video related content rather than multitudes of host systems.

What do you like best about the product?

I use Panopto for uploading and storing videos, which I find to be very efficient. I really appreciate the captions feature because it's helpful for accessibility. The ease of embedding videos into Canvas is also a big plus for me. Additionally, the initial setup was easy, which makes the whole experience more pleasant.

What do you dislike about the product?

I find the audio descriptions on Panopto could be improved. It would be better if they could be turned off when not needed. I also think the voices used for audio descriptions should be more realistic and natural, leveraging AI to sound more lifelike.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

I use Panopto for uploading and embedding videos in Canvas, benefiting from its storage and caption features which help with accessibility. However, I wish the audio descriptions could be turned off and be more realistic with natural AI voices.

The onboarding has been great. We had a smooth video migration from the previous platform into Panopto.

What do you dislike about the product?

Our understanding was that Panopto will migrate our videos from various platform for us, but we were told it is only covered with one, and the rest are subject to extra payment.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

We like that it is a good video hosting platform, the support can be better with respect to specific questions. The community is great, but getting help from Panopto expert is preferred.

What do you like best about the product?

I love Panopto. I use it to show my students examples of public speaking, and it's great for organizing my example videos in one place, which saves me time. One of the features I really like is the quiz feature. I can do a lecture video and stop to do a knowledge check, which helps me see if students are understanding the content. I also like to analyze the analytics to see if the video was effective. The setup was very easy for me with good guidance from the university, and it works really well in Blackboard. It's a great tool for both faculty and students.

What do you dislike about the product?

I don't like the way Panopto stores videos in the folder for the particular class when I create videos. I want to be able to access videos from any semester at any time, link them in the course, and always have that link work.

Panopto solves the problem of tracking my videos by storing all example videos in one place, which saves me time.

The current cost for small institutions is a limiting aspect

I dislike having to manually set up ever individual course and the pricing structure Panopto currently uses.

I've heard that they are going to allow mass recording set ups, which would be great.
