AI ops agents are only as reliable as the context they receive. Raw telemetry tells an agent what is happening. It cannot tell the agent what caused it, which services are at risk, whether a planned change is safe, or when the system is approaching its limits. Agents reasoning from telemetry alone scan broadly, accumulate context, and produce inconsistent answers. Enabling AWS cost attribution (optional)
The Causely Mediator Helm chart applies an aws-apn-id Kubernetes label to its workload pods. To let AWS attribute your cloud spend on these resources to Causely (for AWS Partner co-sell and pricing benefits. This has no effect on Causely's functionality), enable it once per cluster:
- In your AWS account, go to Billing and Cost Management: Cost Allocation Tags: Kubernetes cost allocation tags (or enable Split Cost Allocation Data for your EKS cluster if not already on).
- Activate the aws-apn-id tag for the cluster(s) running causely-mediator.
- Allow up to 24 hours for the tag to start appearing in Cost and Usage Reports.
This step is optional and doesn't affect how the mediator operates. It only helps AWS correctly attribute infrastructure spend to Causely.
