You pay by the hour for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8.10 packaged by Nuvemnest, running as an Amazon Machine Image on AWS EC2. Each dimension maps to one EC2 instance type, so your rate depends on the instance you choose. Instance families range from small general-purpose types to large compute, memory, storage, and accelerated options, including bare-metal sizes. Larger instances carry more virtual CPU and memory, so their hourly rate rises with capacity. You pay only for the hours each instance runs, with no upfront commitment or fixed term.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What exactly does one hourly unit cover for each EC2 instance type?
One unit is one hour of one running instance of the selected type. The rate bundles the Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8.10 software license packaged as an Amazon Machine Image. You pay the same hourly rate for every hour that instance runs, per instance.
Am I charged the software rate when my instance is stopped?
The software charge meters running hours only. A fully stopped instance does not accrue the hourly software rate. You may still owe underlying AWS charges, such as storage for the attached volumes, but those are separate from this listing's per-hour software fee.
How do I lower my hourly cost across these instance types?
Your rate rises with instance capacity, so choosing a type with fewer virtual CPUs and less memory reduces the hourly charge. Running fewer instances or fewer hours also lowers cost. The vendor also offers AMI optimization work to reduce resource use.
