DISCOVER & PREPARE: SAP S/4HANA OPTIMIZATION ROADMAP Moving to SAP S/4HANA requires an organizational commitment to accelerate modernization. An SAP S/4HANA Optimization Roadmap is developed to re-imagine the business operations to take advantage of improved processes and technology as determined through a series of workshops and roundtable sessions. These workshops and roundtable sessions will explore the following: Existing business and technical functions Operations within the legacy ERP environment Current utilization of legacy SAP components and architecture Configuration and customization of legacy ERP software Capabilities and benefits that could be leveraged when moving to the S/4 HANA software platform. This process includes a thorough review of available system documentation, including SAP-generated system sizing, use, and simplification reports for the legacy SAP software platform.

Given the experience in how Clients are leveraging the SAP Portal and SAP UI components today, Clients should: Develop the new user experience, branding, and help strategy. Document what type of in-application help is desired per screen and user type. Begin evaluating the existing Fiori business applications and screens for completeness. Prepare for custom code updates. Develop an analytics strategy. Start working through role management and SAP governance, risk, and compliance (GRC). Perform electronic data interchange solutions modernization and consolidation if necessary. Prepare the existing SAP solution manager instance to support the S/4HANA project deployment and sustainment. Develop a future S/4HANA roadmap that leverages capabilities of the modernized SAP system not deployed in the initial migration.
